YES!!! I'm a big Floyd fan too - been to quite a few concerts over the years, except the last tour (94?). I was living in Spain at the time and by the time I found out about the tickets being on sale they were all sold out :B in UK and Barcelona

In the abcence of the elusive final tour (did you see the story in the special edition Q magazine a couple of months back??), I've been going to the Aussie Floyd gigs. Not the real thing of course, but bloody good just the same - and hugely entertaining. Did you know that they were asked to play at DG's 50th birthday bash and apparently DG, RW & NM joined in to create one of the (reportedly) mightiest versions of Comfortably Numb ever? Sadly, I dont think it was recorded though!

If you are interested, tickets for their next UK tour went on sale yesterday 13th. Tour starts in April. Tour dates below... If they float yer boat dont wait too long - they sell out quickly. :lick: A few pics are also below, just to whet yer appetite!

Ahhh Pink Floyd.....

Careful with that axe Eugene

The Floyd instrumental is were my forum name came from. Love these lyrics to "Get your filthy hands of my desert".

Brezhnev took Afganistan
Begin took beruit
Galtieri too the union jack
And Maggie over lunch one day
Took a cruiser with all hands
Apparently to make him give it back.

Perhaps we can change some of the names and countries though now.

Hi Guys
Just to add my 10 pen'orth.
There's another Pink Floyd tribute band called Think Floyd, they do a lot of UK tours. Personally I think they are better than the Oz band.
Their rendition of 'The Wall' with locally sourced school kids singing on stage is brilliant, I believe they actually played at the sixtieth birthday bash for one of Pink Floyd themselves.
Anyway getting back to the original post, go to the Think Floyd concert and ask them. I'm sure they would know where to get a video from. Failing that try the Pink Floyd website or perhaps eBay.
Good luck on your quest
Cheers Paul

Is a lunp
No need to all the tribute bands do all the explaining,

the only explaining they do is how feckin easy it is to get up on a stage and play shite music.

the words were REAL MUSIC

and that aint floyd either, cuase they are boring, same old dribble, different key.

rob p xx, mozza, rolfy dave thanks for your help, rolfy let me know when you have it and i will send you my address (and a drink). rolfy, will try and get tickets for oz floyd, either bristol or cardiff. maybe see you there. i have seen think floyd here in yeovil and while good i thought their lead guitar was lacking
also saw a tribute floyd band called mask which had two lead guitarists which were both better than the think floyd guy, well recomended if you ever see them advertised. also worth listening to are two albums by roger waters, called radio kaos and amused to death.

the rest of you piss taking, wrong colour riding bastards DONT YOU EVER, EVER

I am not a musician but I know plenty of people who are and most of them will not even attempt to play Abba's tunes because they are quite difficult, their words not mine :dunno:
