I really hope motorcyclists are less apathetic. Isnt mechanical machine control what its all about - isnt motorcycling the purest form of man and machine working in harmony? Doesnt a little bit of work make it all worthwhile...and FUN?
Personally I used to get enjoyment from deciding when to close the choke, with EFI even that bit of choice has been taken away from me. Im not to be trusted.

If you are doing loads of miles a day on a Goldwing (which is a car anyway) I guess this kinda makes sense, on anything else it should be banned - IMHO!

just got off the phone to a friend of mine who used to be very high up in honda, he went to goodwood for a black jacket do at the weekend on his 1050 sprint st which he loves. four top japanese were over from honda with whome he is still on first name terms with and they said, what are you riding, he told them and they said we must really get you back on a honda, how about we get you one of these vfr 1200 sent over and he basically told them no thanks why would i want to ride that its too ugly, too heavy and why would anyone want to spend that kind of money on a vfr when the price opens them up to just about any mainstream bike on the market. he turned them down flat on a free bike and would rather ride his sprint!!
