Davey, if I find something funny I will laugh at it, if I don't I won't.
Humour is different things to different people, what some find funny others don't, all this means is that we all have different tastes.
The op wasn't posted as a racist comment same as the first time it was posted a few years ago.
I am bald & overweight & if I took offence everytime someone mentioned my lack of hair or excess of stomach then I would be a permanently angry man.

I remember a few years back Jasper Carrot causing offence by making a joke about the deaf, his response when the furore got out of hand was "what I want to know is who told them" in my opinion a brilliant response to a ridiclous campaign.

Some people found Bernard Manning funny & still laugh at Chubby brown, personally not to my taste, as I say "different tastes"

I have met many people from this site over the years & can honestly say I have not taken a dislike to anyone.

My advice to you would be to meet people before forming an opinion of them & remember you don't have the monopoly on social victimisation, if someone or something offends you then carefully measure your response to the severity of the alleged offense.

This evening (weather permitting), I will go to one of the oldest bike meets in the country, the Ace Cafe. I will meet motorcycle enthusiast of every colour, race, religion and nationality. All rejoicing in the past, with respect for each other and forming the British motorcycle, future.
When some of you are ready to crawl out of your primitive holes, You will find that like Canute, you can't turn back the tide. The future for this country is exciting, after all I'm old enough to remember that your fathers were very anti everything Japanese!

Interesting, you accuse me of being a racist, but I don't recall making any mention of anyones race. Cavemen, which I haven't called anyone, was not a race, as far as I'm aware it was a period that people around the world lived in caves. Clearly some still do. This evening I was fortunate to be in the company of a Pakistanie Muslim, a Romanian, 2 Hungarians, 10 Frenchmen 2 French ladies, 6 Germans, Blackbird riding Pol', a Irish bus driver 3 Indians and countless Englishmen and women. Non of them wanted steal, rape, or pillage, although most are part of the ethnic minorities in this country and won't be featuring in any crime program. We didn't need to tell any cheap racist jokes.
Someone said I wanted to be treated like everyone on here, helll no! That would put me in a very poor place. And Pow-Lo, if you can't understand what I'm saying why the fock are you getting involved in my conversation? How dumb is that?
And lastly, if you are all still sitting on your high easierly offended horses, take a little time to read some of the other threads, which the most hurt of you have contributed too. Even Alf Garnet would blush.

I am pissing myself laughing at Davidson and Manning being used as examples in this thread. You lot really don't get it do you. They are from an era when their humour was rightly or wrongly considered acceptable. It's similar to a Sun Page 3 calendar being hung on the office wall when I started work in 1976 when it was considered OK.

Of course there are racists around, and no doubt there are on this site. Arguably we all have a touch of racism about us - think about who you would or wouldn't want to move in next door to you.

Go and work with some young people for a while and learn and admire how much more they embrace multi cultural society than the preceeding generations.

Davey Bee I really hope this thread isn't keeping you awake at night - there are keyboard warriors that think it is OK to cross the line in hyperspace (it isn't) but are actually generally OK when you meet them - even off this site (IanRobbo accepted). Personally I think anyone who posts a joke/comment based on colour/creed/race is a bit of a knob for what it's worth. Which in fairness isn't a lot.
