I know many younger people who share most of my views, it is because of older generation values that I have never been idle or unemployed, it is also why I help people rather than rob them.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Now i am totally lost. I fail to see the connection between being a grafter and being insensitive to others. Maybe it's a macho thing?

By the way I have no desire to trace my ancestry as like pretty much everyone else it will only end in tears by finding out stuff I didn't need to know. 98% of the population have lineage out of wedlock within the last three generations, 79% have a convicted murderer or sex offender and 59% have a deserter.

I could never be described as "macho" I am not insensitive but you mentioned my opinions not resting easy with the younger generation, Why should I change my opinions & values to suit them?

As I have stated in the past there are things that I find offensive but when I air my opinions I am labelled & that is the problem these days, freedom of speech only exists to those who tow the line, I have known of managers sitting in a pub telling racist jokes & then reprimanding a member of staff for telling the same jokes on the wings.

Can you honestly say you have never told a joke or story that someone may find offensive?

If someone does dislike a certain race, gender,religion, who does it harm?

Filling in forms (public sector) I'm informed that this survey etc is anonymous, it then asks me my colour, religion, gender, etc, it doesn't just ask my colour though it asks if I am BEM, black ethnic minority, if I was black I'd probably be offended by that description.
