The bad news is...new loom, new keys, new Hiss transmitter, new ignition barrel, separate key for tank and saddle

The good news is Honda :bow: are doing the lot under warranty. Hooray for Honda. Howmany other companies would accept it under warranty at nearly five ywears. Boy do I feel better. :}

Top news m8 :yo:

Don't like to say "I told you so" but I did say that Honda have recognised a problem with Hiss and will repair/replace under warranty.

Sound as a pound

Top news, full marks to Honda.

Any ideas how it all failed? Did one failure cause the other?

Yeeehhhaaaaa

My bird is home too. New loom and ECU. God bless Honda. Only downside is a mechanic dropped a spanner on my tank and put TWO dings in it. I was not impressed. One is hidden by the seat and if I get a different type of tank guard the other will also be hidden. My sincere thanks to all who advised, sympathised, empathised and generally comforted me through the trauma of being without a bike. God it did feel good to ride home but I was surprised how rusty I was for the first fifty miles or so. Imagine going all winter without riding and then going out for a blat in Spring. To make sure I am not without a bike again I have bought a CBR 400 That'll be different!

Hot chocolate

Bout 3pm at Llandovery sounds good Stan. See you then. Bill. Nope, no compensation. They said Honda only allowed 1.5 hours to change the loom and normally I would have had to pay the extra. As they had damaged the bike they would forget the extra. Bollocks. I did'nt care. I just wanted to get my bird home. possibly 3pm by the time we get to Llandovery.Llandyfry?

Bugger that Bill !!
You go back and say appreciate that Honda allowed 1.5 hours cos that is how long the job should take. They took longer it is THEIR feckin problem.. I am sitting here bloody livid I am !!!
I would also tell them you do not want money compensation you want your bloody bike back in the same cosmetic condition they took it in. A new tank with the same type on tank pad fitted or you will see them in court.. no arguments no feckin around..
If it was a small scratch on a panel I could understand as that can happen.. But two dents... no mate.. thats was a case of feck it, its a pain in the arse warranty job .. just slap it about and get it out..

Name the dealer at the very least Bill..( unless you have already ! )

agree with you Jaws,

Should have left the bike there,, dents in the tank,, replacement tank at the very least,, had my loom done 2 years ago,, I think Honda allow a little more than 1.5 hours for the job,,,,maybe 2 :} took Dobles a full day to do mine,, had a courtisy bike & they did wire in my alarm etc FOC,

Just a question though,,,,, how does a faulty wiring loom make the ECU faulty :dunno:

Shit happens

You never made a mistake??? I don't owe the dealer anything. But I made mistakes!!! Many. I can live with it. I know he was bulshittin about the hours. Life goes on. I dropped my last bike twice. Did I take myself to court. Lighten up lads. Nobody died! It can be hidden and he knows he owes me. :k
