Fu*#ing Bike Alarm

parttimepilot

FJR and Bird Commander
Well I finally got time off when the shops were still open yesterday & picked up a couple of batteries from Maplin.
Thatll fix the issue for now but I think I will still remove the alarm system pretty soon.

Spoke too fekin soon. Although I gave the gut in Maplins the old battery to compare he gave me the wrong ones. They looked the same size through the packaging but are slightly fatter so the fob wont close:bang:

Are you shit-stirring again, TT? :dunno:

Waddya mean "again"? I never shit-stir thank you very much.

No, it's a genuine observation. Just contemplating pulling my finger out today and disabling that cnuting Datatool 3 once and for all. Going over the details that your good self and din1965 have kindly provided once more, just to refresh my mind and came upon this thread.

As I say, informative and also funny as fekk. Better than Coronation Street.

It's all good stuff though. Still on the same battery as I was since the bike alarm was removed over 18 months ago... longest one's lasted for ages. @tu*

LOL "have i sorted that alarm out yet?" 8rfl@

Err, no. :bang:

Read and digested several times...ha, I could now do it blindfold. Piece of piss yea? So, seat off, rear cowl off to access the alarm box just in front of the rear light unit only to find the cover is bolted down with Torx setscrews. Trouble is the setscrews have got fekkin little protrusions sticking out of the middle of the heads, thus preventing my torx flat headed bit from fitting into the setscrew head. Where'd I get one of them "bits" with a hole in the centre from then huh? Halfrauds don't do them by the looks of it.

Oh vey. i really am a :wank:
