Murt, Allan (and all the other Plods who are members of this site).... w;;v

Having read Richard's thread "PHOKKIN BASTARDS SMASHED MY BIKE UP" I got to thinking.....

There were a number of post in his thread (and more in other, older threads) that made/make disparaging remarks about Plods in general. Seeing as Murt et al are Plods on this forum, I wondered how they felt when reading those remarks... :dunno:

Just got me thinking is all...........

Adam,
It pisses me off to be honest, we do the best job possible given the rules and regulations in place yet people still moan.

If they can do a better job then i suggest they join up and see first hand the restrictions put in place by the 'human rights act' 'pace' home office' etc.

The cops have a lot less power than they used to, these powers were lost due to members of the public putting pressure on the government to get rid of such things as 'stop & search' powers (the guide lines are ridiculous) and the fact we are no longer permitted to pursue stolen vehicles (we have to allow them to do what they want).

Its bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some members on here think we are super human and above the law but in reality we are just like yourself with different clothing and the right to carry a plastic stick and a tin of spray.

Trouble is Rhino

unlike most organisations one twat can colour peeps conception of the whole organisation. Brunstrom and his deputy (treble the price of alcohol) :bang: have a lot to be blamed for. On a local level we have one twat who is alienating locals by persecuting all motorists and motorcyclists. Stopping nurses in uniform and asking them if they have been taking drugs!!! If it were not for the police we would be sitting up nights with a shotgun defending our families...been there done that and don't ever want to do it again! I don't believe anyone with any intelligence objects to speed checks in built up areas or dangerous places but checking on open roads with no accident history just gets up everyone'snoses. . The coppers I've met from this site and off it are genuinely decent guys doing a job most of us couldn't do. I do believe though most of the rhetoric against coppers on here is not personal and usually said when someone is very upset and lashing out!

I understand both points........

It seems to me that the PC brigade have created their own dilemma!

One hopes the events of 7/7 have opened their eyes and made them realise you can't make an omlette without breaking a few eggs........

Anyone else got an opinion............? (Lots of views, but little comment)

My ten-penneth!!

I've spoken with RHINO about his "job" many times

Accepting that Murt isn't a REAL policeman [cue abuse] I'm amazed at how our bobbies manage to cope with the stress of the job. For sure [sounding like Rossi] I couldn't do the job!!

Trouble is that with a policeforce stretched everyway and constrained by bloody Gov't and the PC brigade, plod can't be all things to all people

When I was a lad [!!] the bobbies were respected and there to help

The youth of today don't have the same respect and a lot of that has to do with basic parental control

In teaching circles it's known as "Nature Nurture" - you are what your parents bring you up to be

So...........

Parents with no respect for law and order = kiddies with no respect for law and order

Logically, therefore the situation is only going to get worse

I just wish that the local policeforces had the opportunity to concentrate their efforts on CRIME not on unofficial tax-gathering and mamby pandering to the "ethnic majority"

I've got maximum respect for RHINO, Buzz et al cos the job must be a nightmare

Doh!!! Soap box just collpased under my weight!!

LOL

One of my best mates is a Bobby ( Rhino, you met him last year at the Toy Run) - been in the job since he could join up. He can tell you to the day when he is leaving because he hates the job now. Too many "bosses" interfering with what he has to do - he is on the bikes in Greater Manchester. I have the utmost respect for the kind of work theat Rhino and Andy do - they must have greater control of their actions than I would in some situations that they find themselves in.
Centaur - yeah totally agree - that empire builder Brunstrom opens his mouth and the feeling towards bobbies goes down another notch. Some of the sneaky things North Wales Police are doing beggars belief. One of Julies workmate's husband was driving home to Buckley last week along the A55 towards Buckley. A car following him was right up his arse. This car has a headlight that was out of alignment - couldn't be a copper could it - not with a dicky light. Wrong! This loon pushed him to try and make him speed up. As he is already on points he stayed at 70. Car comes past and it's like Blackpool Illuminations - pulls him in and starts off with " where are you going" etc. When the lad questioned the copper on his headlight, he just said " must get that fixed" The lad didn't even clock what kind of car it was! Think I'm making this up? He had to produce his documents over the week-end!

I've been a police officer in the Met for 15 years ..... I have been a traffic officer for the last 4 and I am happy with how I do the job and the way I speak to people..... usually - but, as I am human (honest) I can be in a bad mood and have had a bad day; just like anyone else on this planet and an individuals attitude will and does affect my attitude and so on and so on .....

As has been said the restrictions on how the job is done now are immense - I won't go into them or this post will never end!

I tried to explain some issues people had on some motoring forums with the police and all I got was abuse and negative comments when all I was trying to do was offer advice or put 'the other sides' point of view; offering perhaps alternative reasons for why things happened. I deliberately posted in very non confrontational ways to try and avoid any problems but it often matters not how you word something once you have 'admitted' to being a police officer!

The attitude on these forums was such that on two I have stopped posting altogether.

On this forum I look regularly but rarely post - there have been things I wanted to comment on but, to be honest, I get enough abuse at work and don't need any more ..... so don't post. On this forum one person posted that they love an opporuntity to upset any police officers posting - so basically I decided I can't be bothered to reply when a post deteriorates.

I should say though that I love riding a Blackbird as I have for the last 7 years and hope to continue doing so for a long time !

Wolfie

Is a lunp
yet again people blame the front line and not the tossers at the back controlling them.

All laws in this land are made and approved by the govt. direct your anger at them not the bloke who has to carry out their laws.

aside from that there is some right feckin arseholes out there who are policemen. including my bosses son in law who has just "join" fuck i am gonna get pulled every feckin week now. we dont get on you see, he is a twat and i am a yob.

I believe, maybe wrongly, that like all large bodies, companies, hospitals etc. Police Forces (are they still called forces or is that not PC either) are controlled by the financial people. It can't be too difficult to see that we have a watered down police force compared to say 30years ago. When will we get back to policemen/women running things instead of suits behind desks?

Well John57.............

Glad you posted a point of view in my thread...

I feel for you mate - I do. Just take heart that this forum is mostly made up of good guys who do nothing more than take the 'good natured' piss outta their mates at every opportunity... :p

As with any forum - there will always be the odd person out who hates someone/something and will use every excuse to vent their frustration/anger at it/them.... Sadly...........

Just post when you want mate.

Fully understand where you are coming from and I'm saddened by your reticence to "take part"

From the bobbies that I know personally, they [in the main] have a great sense of humour [even RHINO!!], are thick skinned and enjoy giving and taking the piss-ripping

So accept that you're a "plod" and get stuck in!

Or are YOU having a bad day TODAY?

Piss taking on here?

Nar............!!

Most of the guys N gals on here are sound and due to the type of bike we are enthusiastic about then a mojority on here are of mature years (excluding myself of course).
I give as good as i get and enjoy the discussions mostly.
I came clean as soon as i joined BIRD and then people knew exactly what i did for a living rather than hide it and people feel i was hiding something when the truth comes out.

I had a rotten time through 2004 and many of the folk on this site sent messages of support and some (Rolfy Dave, Sandra Q, Fat Bert, IanRobbo, Roxxo, Richard, Lumpy) really pushed the boat out to help me.
Yeh it seems like a lot of arguing on here from time to time but on a whole i think that its light hearted and just verbal babble.

Get stuck in and join the family.

Wasn't aware the snake-keeping, spider-loving Prize Wankers had any street cred.

Certainly NOT of the street where you live anyway
