mikew said:I found, (and these are only my opinions before someone jumps on me! ) it to be wallowy and very soft in the suspension department, grounded out too easily with a pillion on board, very nervous steering in a side wind, bloody awful windblast, pillion cannot use the stock grabhandle as they end up sitting on them cos of where they are mounted, cheaply finished.
Brakes were good though!
Mike, I can't commnets on two-up riding as I never carry a pilion as my g/f has a Blade, but I agree with your comments on the stock suspension. However, like any bike, once set-up properly it's quite capable; if you don't believe me ask Dave T or Wolfy or PyschobikerBen, alternativley, I'll give you a demonstration :}
Even when solo riding it grounds out the stock pegs quite easily, but at least it's only the pegs!!! I got round this by fitting a nice pair of rearsets but I found that with the BIRD it wasn't much effort to ground the fairing out.
The pillion grabhandles are totally in the wrong place though and the brakes are good but I've enhanced mine a tad to give 'em that extra bit of initial bite.
[Toni QUOTE]granted the BB rode uneven surfaces slightly better that the fazer.. [/QUOTE]
Toni, nooooooooooooo................................. I can't belive you said that Get ya suspension sorted mate, honestly. The suspenders on the Fazer 1000 are fully adjustable front & rear and I bet you've got yours on standards setting? Since getting rid of the Barge, I'm able to stay stick to B roads where the surfaces ain't always great. Let's meet up soon.
