Even so, with the bottom four clubs not yet on 30 points ( Sheffield United on 14 and WBA on 21), it would take an incredible sequence of results to see the bottom two survive.
Also, Brighton (fifth from bottom on 32 points) still have to play both Manchester clubs, Everton, Chelsea and the Mighty Leeds. Their last game of the season is away to the Arsenal. If I were a gambling man, which I’m not, I’d have them down for the third relegation spot.
Even better, Liverpool cannot now retain the title.
