Bit of a gap and there is some real dross below you….and Everton dropping like a stone….Breathe a bit easier now, 3-1, still a long way till end of season.
Our next two games are against West Ham, FA cup & league, not bothered about the cup but hope for at least a draw in the league.Bit of a gap and there is some real dross below you….and Everton dropping like a stone….
Norwich are a dead cert to go down. Newcastle will almost certainly follow, despite their new pimps. Sorry, owners. I read about all the players that Newcastle want to sign in the gossip column every day but, realistically, who‘s going to want to go there now? Maybe some old has-beens looking for one final bumper pay-deal and a swan song in the premier league but that’s about it. Best thing they can hope for is to sign some promising young talent in the summer to take them back up.Bit of a gap and there is some real dross below you….and Everton dropping like a stone….
I wouldn’t be so sure…these people have so much money I don’t think getting a return on the investment is on their priority list, at least not in the short term…..I suspect it’s more of a status/ego trip.Newcastle may have billionaire owners now but they aren’t going to splash serious money until they know they’ll get a return on their spends.
No excuse for that behaviour in any shape or form but it is about time the players were told not to celebrate in front of the opposing supporters- it happens allthe time (the City players were bombarded by Arsenal ‘fans’ ( in the loosest possible sense) on Saturday)….don’t create the platform for these idiots and it won’t happen. If you ran up to an opposing supporter in a pub after your team had scored and celebrated in front of him I dont think you would get much sympathy if you got a slap.I wouldn’t be surprised to see Leeds get a points deduction due to one idiot throwing a drinks bottle & hitting a player with it.
Don’t know if you watch Ref Watch which is embedded in The Football Show on Sky Sports News at 11am on Mondays (well worth watching, analyses all the controversial moments from the weekend games, Dermot Gallagher is very insightful) - they touched on goal, celebrations today- apparently captains in Premiership games are reminded of player responsibilities including goal celebration before the game. It’s always the club & decent fans that suffer the actions of a few mindless idiots.
That is something that winds me up, score a goal & run to the supporters & remove your shirt, ref has to book you, five bookings = ban,Don’t know if you watch Ref Watch which is embedded in The Football Show on Sky Sports News at 11am on Mondays (well worth watching, analyses all the controversial moments from the weekend games, Dermot Gallagher is very insightful) - they touched on goal, celebrations today- apparently captains in Premiership games are reminded of player responsibilities including goal celebration before the game.
The only way is up, our problem yesterday apart from a useless defense is DCL watched too much rugby whilst on sick leave and so thought he could score if he put the ball over the barBit of a gap and there is some real dross below you….and Everton dropping like a stone….
Great result but more importantly a great team performance, it can be argued that West Ham were tired through having to play three games in eight days but we can counter that by having nine first teamers injured.Great result for the Mighty Leeds yesterday. Let's hope that win against the 'Ammers is a catalyst for a good run of form and some points in the bag
He's doing a damn fine job at West Ham and they're only going to get better. Just goes to show what can be done with decent players that want to play and a good manager instead of a multi-billionaire sugar-daddy.Great result for Leeds I think West Ham should now fire their manager and he can come back to Goodison
