I have certainly thought of doing a lot of things today but that's it.

On call for the local volunteer group for the last two days and it isn't encouraging that I haven't been called out after it went mad when first launched.:)

Got off my backside to go and get a screwdriver from the garage so I could, which I did, extend the running time of the extractor in the ensuite.

When I went back out to the garage to put the screwdriver away I took a carton (two litre) of frozen milk out of the freezer to defrost and found a packet of four pork loin cuts that I didn't know we had.

Exciting times.

Today I opened a large box brought by a delivery driver which was left outside my porch while I watched him lug it down the drive.
On opening it I found a large quantity of foodstuffs - sent free by HMGov. I think we’ll get another next week? It wasn’t a bad selection in all.
Thank you HMGov. 92180B11-3B13-4E17-9E01-681850DC3306.jpeg5087834C-9F97-4CEF-AFE7-46AF515E428E.jpegB0A650C7-F074-4041-8E96-E4FBE55CBADB.jpeg77AB0C4D-CDA1-4296-A166-26D9B60EA055.jpeg

Repatriation flights are being planned and coordinated as we speak.

My work plans have changed from furloughed next month and working this one to the other way around.

But I've been put on 48 hrs notice at any time to return for the repatriation flights.

In our weekly Skype briefing last week we were told its expected to be a much larger operation than when either Monarch or Thomas Cook folded.

Son has been browsing Utube on the telly.

He's found some nutter that builds crazy gadgets etc.
Guy called Colin Furze.

It's a bit mad and entertaining.

Yep. I've heard there are 6,000 Brits in NZ alone, so it's going to be bigger than Monarch and Thomas Cook together. Mrs P will be working some of the repatriation flights when she's back from Sydney.

Started my spring clean, until I lost the will to live.
Phoned my in law's for a chat, then my dentist phoned me to tell me my appointment has been cancelled (y)

Then planted some pansies.
Then spent 1 hour doing a 10 min job, downloading pics off my camera to send to my camera club leader :BangHead:

Both our tax returns. Earliest ever for this pants job.

Looks like we are not the only ones on that as we can't access the HMRC site to submit!

Maybe try at 2am when I am inevitably wide awake for at least three hours:rolleyes:

I have listed all of my freezer foods. All of my tinned foodstuffs. All of my dried foodstuffs.

now all collated in an Excel spreadsheet showing location, description and quantity. Sorted by description and printed on A4 so my wife doesn’t have to keep asking “do we have any .......”?

when I get my online order delivery tomorrow night I’ll update it with the new stock.

45 years of stock management is hard to shake off :risas3: Bloody hell, why have we got so many of so many things, all in different places? It looks like I’m going to have to put stuff away myself.

btw, I’m aiming to get everything we need delivered now to ensure I don’t come into contact with any of the great unwashed and potentially pass CV to my wife.

Got a bollocking, only because my signature was the last one on the document, I refused to accept the bollocking & almost walked out, I was told to email an apology to two managers, foolishly I emailed in anger & perhaps went a bit too far, ah well, cest la vie.

Today's weekly briefing, repatriation flights still in planning, looking like they'll be centred on just two maybe three airports - Heathrow & Manchester, maybe one other.

East Midlands cargo traffic is up on same period year on year.

Business/Private flights are up.... The well off apparently aren't restricted and are managing to travel around the world without hindrance.

Was woken at the crack of 8.00am(ish) with the whole house shaking !
Part of having the extention Darrell is building involves running new water mains.
To do this he is having to run new mains to my house too
across the rea wall of our house ran a concrete path which has had to be partially dug up.. Said path was 12" thick concrete, and they had to get busy with a kango !!!

Took the dog for a walk, checked again the trailer size for new cladding.. Went on line to get prices for plywood.....
Decided it will have to wait cos I canna afford it !
