Had an appointment this morning at 09:40 for my blood pressure taking to see if I need to go on anti-coagulants.
Arrived for appointment at ten past nine (I’m always early,) ten fifteen I’d still not been seen so I went to the reception window & pointed out that my appointment was 35 minutes ago, “there’s two to go then you” I was told, the person who went in before I went to the window had arrived after my appointment time.
I asked how they could be so far behind so early in the day, the answer I got was “Dr Craven is always late, he has to travel from Sheffield” I asked if that was meant to be a valid excuse, pointing out that if she was constantly late she would be sacked, I then told her to rebook my appointment, she told me that I may as well wait just a little longer as I’d been there over an hour, I told her that as I was there for my blood pressure taking then they would get a false reading so I would be better returning when I am calmer, she booked me in for first appointment on 12th march with the other partner.
I am still considering whether to send an email of complaint.
