A couple of months back we had a wellbeing day at work, our pe department was doing the bp & bmi bit, I sat down & had mine checked & it was ok, then the pei said “hang on a minute I want to try something” with that he asked how my daughter was getting on & if shit in law was stepping up to the mark, he then checked my blood pressure & it had risen considerably, he just laughed & said “well, what do you know?”

Low blood pressure is as bad as high blood pressure....

Thank you for the kind words on George. He has had a tough few weeks and is returning to the vet on a daily basis at the moment, dosed up to the eyeballs on opiate. It is quite upsetting to see his behaviour each day as it wears off, the human equivalent to 'the munchies'. If he is still with us this time next week he should be fine, fingers crossed at the moment but I am feeling quite optimistic.

Doctor friend of mine told me “low blood pressure never killed anyone.” Mine is usually 108 over 62 but has been as low as 80 over 40. Only problems I knowingly have as a result is sometime falling over when I stand up if I don’t catch myself in time.

Good to see George dossing in the sun. I really hope he pulls through; be sure to tell him I said so!

BMI is absolute bollocks. I cannot believe medical professional takes that bullshit seriously. You cannot correctly gauge someone’s ideal weight against their height. Fact.
