all I can hear Is the birds singing.

No planes, no traffic.

Just the birds.

Amazing to think this is how it was all the time once.

It is rather lovely.

You forgot the rickets, polio, typhoid, malnutrition, parasitic infestation and the constant fear of predatory animals as well Andrew.
But I suppose not everywhere’s like Devon:).

My brother and half the staff where he works have been furloughed, and one of those not furloughed, went to the manager and asked that he be furloughed, and one of those who had been furloughed be given full wages, his reason, he lived at home with his parents and could manage on reduced wages, and the other man had a young family to support and needed all his wages. I thought it was a lovely thing to do. (y)

Did that with the neighbours for a dual BBQ the other day. Made for a very pleasant afternoon.

Fantastic that vulnerable people are donating their 'government' food parcels to the food bank down here if they don't need it.

Seeing families out as a group on push bikes.

:headbang:
Suicidal lemmings, most of them.

You can tell that they're not used to riding, they have sod all road sense, ride on both sides of the road, let their kids ride on and off the kerb at will, no helmets (especially on the kids) and randomly change direction without so much as a glance over their shoulders.
