I have been watching Moto GP today & when you see the onboard telemetery(sp) the top riders are right off the throttle going into the corner ?
Sneeky they must be using the kill switch, right off out to give that a go.

Yeah I was watching that too. They rev a bit higher. Do you waggle your leg too?

Surely, if you have been out with IAM you will have read the ' book ' and had cornering speed explained.

( but there again, perhaps not having had dealings with some IAM )

You should be using the optimum revs to keep safe control of the vehicle around a bend without letting the engine labour, or over revving. It's a personal thing, and most people actually use one gear too low when riding around a bend.
Say using fourth, when it would be better in third.

Find a nice bendy road, ride it your usual way, then SAFELY do it again in a higher gear without red lining it.
When it feels comfortable, smooth, not snatchy and safe.. that's usually it.

The Bird will pull from very low revs, so play about and find what's comfy for you.

The original question is a bit ' trollie ' but I can see where you are coming from.

Just get out and get used to the thing!

Trollie? Interesting. As I pointed out I was just interested in opinions rather than needing riding advise. Having said that you're right of course...I just need to go out and play. New tyres need wearing in!!

I see. My opinion is that if you needed to ask the question, you definitely need extra training.

The riding advice ( to me) was just a way of getting you safe without another bird being made into eBay parts.

Enjoy getting used to it.

A forum of experts. I will certainly hope to gain some useful advise. Point still missed. I will try to explain myself better in future.

maybe a sensible question would be a good start Mr Darwin contender. Maybe learn the bike, learn what you need to do or just hold it at 3467rpm for every bend. If it's a question to get some posts up fair do's, if it's a real question sell it and go by bus.

Harsh but fair, do we have a new Steve Biker or AJ from the other site ?

new and already wrestling a title away from BandyIrd

Next question tyre pressure?

One after location of tax disc holder?

one after does a 6mm spacer really make it turn like an RC211V?

Brakes are shit and need delinking too I expect  cynic? yup, you bet

Tis true mate take the 6mm spacer out & yep it turns like 2CV FACT

robsbird

red ones are faster
i my self like the 31psi front tyre as it makes it go very quick round corner's
with 21psi in the rear as this give you a better contact area

Can you still get those extra tread biased tyres for people who commute along roads with lots of roundabouts.

Great idea, but you don't see them around much now :dunno:

May help .

Now we are getting down to the nitty gritty.
Just a thought would the biased tread give you a different rpm in corners ?
