I am not Davey Bee's biggest fan & I voted for the temporary ban, has it had the desired effect? I don't know, in fairness to Davey as far as I can see he has moderated his posts, he hasn't branded me a racist recently regardless of whether or not his opinion has changed & for that, thank you Davey, on the other hand he has not apologised & for that, shame on you Davey.
Having met Jaws & seen the hard work he puts in both to this site & helping people, how the hell can you be at loggerheads with him, Davey, you do have some usefull stuff to contribute, particularly bike related.
On other matters you have your opinions & whilst I may not agree with them I respect them.
Read your posts & ask yourself honestly if you can say the same.
Join in the banter, meet some of the guys & gals & you will find a forgiving bunch.

I think you are cutting him too much slack, Derek. I too thought he had moderated his posts since returning after his ban but as far as I can tell, he is still hell bent on antagonising anyone who may disagree with him. The post from Russ was made long enough ago but DB has only just resurrected it to cause trouble. The situation on here must be pretty bad for Russ to even contemplate the offending comment let alone actually post it. I have posted that I feel this forum has lost its appeal for me and consider leaving. On reflection, I have made many friends on here over the years and to leave would be like giving in to terrorists who aspire to controlling our lives. It's not right that one individual should be allowed spoil this otherwise brilliant site.

I do like the irony of a non-sponsor complaining that the site is not ran or moderated to his liking, wonder how wildly he would stamp his feet if he'd actually stuck his mitt into the gold tops.

I enjoyed The Hunt this week. Its on the BBC.

It showed a Blue whale, 30m long and weighing in at 200 tonnes. The camera panned out until you could hardly see the whale.

Makes you wonder how we are all just like a grain of sand in the whole scheme of things?

I want to read what others have to say on the subject of closing borders but it dominated by Me Me Davy fucking B and unfortunately people use the quote button as I have here to reply to him. Ban the fucker's arse. John has given him far, far too much slack already. He is disturbing the wa of too many peeps on here. c7u8

I used to take considerable pride in BIRD, then you came along, wound people up and pissed people off so much it has degenerated in to this sort of thing.
I would like to believe you have not done this with any deliberate intent but it is quite obvious to one and all ( your self included ) that this is what has happened

Your first word, err, means to make a mistake, are you admitting to making a mistake or was it a typing error or should I say, err.

As for Russ, he has done more good for this forum than you could ever do harm and that's going some.

He did not wish you death at all.. He used a colloquialism to express his desire for you to go away.. FOAD is a very commonly used saying.

Has your dad ever been so angry that he's killed you?
Did you actually mean that you would kill them?

Russ used a very common saying & you have latched onto it & twisted it into something other than what it is, a saying, not a threat or even a wish.
You are not a Health & safety exec by any chance are you because you come across as sounding like one?

As was said earlier, he must have thought he was losing his touch so resurrected my post to try and wind everyone up again, not working, whatever rubbish he comes out with in the future will be totally ignored. Well the UK / US have been using divide and conquer (ie secure oil) for the last 100 years in Middle East, and it's not without precedent that the US have been caught out sponsoring factions that rise beyond their expectations - Nicaragua springs to mind.

The Islam faith counts Abraham as their ancestor just like the Jews but they say that the Prophet Muhammed has superseded Jesus who superseded Elisha who superseded Elijah etc (there are a lot btw). So all the prophets before now don't count except for wisdom, and that those people of the 'Book' should come into enlightenment and if not then you are to kill them as heretics - this is why they were separating hostages in Mali and asking them to quote the Quran and killing Christians.

IS and other groups around the world are going back to that literal teaching; they would need to create a New Quran to bring Islam into a new order in much the same way as the New Testament brings meaning and interpretation to the Old Testament, so instead of 'eye for eye, tooth for tooth' you have 'love your neighbour as yourself' and 'walk the extra mile'.

But there will not be a New Quran as you would need a new prophet to supersede Muhammed (if that's possible). Muhammed himself was a soldier and raped and murdered as he sore fit, so he set a standard that is being repeated, maybe it was quiet for a long time before we needed their oil.

People will often look back at the barbaric tactics of the Catholic church or the Crusades, but neither they or anything done in the name of Christianity could be traced back to the New Testament and Jesus.

Basically the West cannot resolve the Middle East, as each generation of Muslims will have those who pick up the Quran and say 'right then, back to basics'.
