Too late closing the borders now, the cells are no doubt in place, and let's face it, just because we are an island every one seems to think we are isolated, no chance, dead easy to come from France in a small boat, via north Kent coast, up the swale and medway, loads of places to unload cargo and people, as there are in 101 other locations in Kent (same with other counties)

The answer? ? Who knows, but it ain't going to go away too quick. ...

The problem is to ban someone is agin everything I hold as being right.
It was a 30 day ban in hope..
The new political section will now be where folk can post what ever views they like and I aint gotta read them unless I feel like it as it cannot be viewed by the general public etc etc
Folk can piss one and other off as much as they like without treading on the toes of those who do not wish any attempt at brainwashing be made on them !

I only asked why so hostile, maybe I shouldn't write anything at the moment as I'm half cut, but ffs I've an opinion opposite to yours, I'm not pissed off by your opinion, I just disagree with it. Maybe it time that you realise that the world is made up of people of differing opinions of how to resolve a problem and more often than not, there is no absolute right or wrong way. You've already banned me because of have a view different to you. If you want a forum where only those that hold similar views to you rename it and then those of us that believe this is a bike forum will move on. Trust me I'm affected by this terrorist situation more than most on here. On the week ends that I'm not off riding (like this one) I spend in and around central London. I'm aware of what could happen to me and more importantly to my wife. I just don't believe that your answer to the solution will be affective. You say I have the ability to piss you off with post ffs. if you were running a site with integrity, not only would you allow both sides of arguments to run, but you'd address openly racist comments from the likes of Codbasher and you'd reprimand posters that wished another death or a nasty illness. Now you can ban me. Fucking free speach!

Daley Bee, taking the high ground on 'being affected more than most' does you no favours at all. You are not the only person who is more than concerned by being in what are obviously high risk areas at the moment. However, credit to you for looking like you are getting on with it rather than cowering behind a locked door. Personally I refuse to stop doing anything different, if i do then I think we start losing.

Like you I find a very small proportion of the posters on here,in varying degrees, too far to the right in their views for my palate. These posters appear to be absolutely intransigent in their position and simply ignore any well reasoned argument that opposes their views, and also, in my view, do not have compassion for the humanitarian tragedy that is happening at present, maybe through lack of awareness, maybe not.

Battering them with sarcasm and taking the moral high ground will get you nowhere - surely you have worked that out by now?

Personally I think I have had enough of the 'race debate' on here and am voting with my feet on the subject. Which will no doubt be greeted with a barrage of derision. I won't lose any sleep on that.

In the meantime I will continue to enjoy working in an extremely multi-cultural community packed with decent people.

Andy you're correct on all you say apart from me taking the high ground on the subject, I'm fully aware that affects a number of us directly, DK in the job he does, PL flying to and from work, springs to mind straight away. Even those in darkest Thetford have a US airbase around the corner. Joke, joke, joke, :-0) ffs.
A great night out in Ronnie Scots disco by the way, very late 50s and I managed one dance with all the vigour I had 40 years ago, to the point of impressing a small crowd around me. Shame I had to sit down for the rest of the night to recover. Central London was buzzing, we had to wait over an hour to get a table in one of our favourite restaurants, French one at that. So the bastards have failed this in their quest in this small area of Europe.

My viewpoint has been altered significantly in the past few months too, I was just asking a question. I was just pointing out that a total closure might prevent some people we would like from entering the country.

I think the point made further about not using the NHS but private health insurance (by a subsequent poster) was quite interesting: at our local private hospitals a substantial of the available consultants are the same ones rejected by the poster would thinks the NHS is crap! Or perhaps the poster goes down the list of available consultants and picks one whose name sounds westernised enough! :dunno:

Not really, but the South aint what it was, esp since I had the pleasure of helping to build the Sheppey Crossing, Ebbsfleet, Ashford Intl, Thames Gateway, windfarms etc. Bloody concrete jungle now.
