Close the borders now

Clearly after the events of the past week or so more stringent checks need to be carried out on the traffic of migration flow and countries within the European Union need to start taking to each other , which up until now they haven't been .

your method of just closing borders and thinking the problem will just disappear
Is a tad naive
Mick, Derek isn't saying the problem will disappear. Read his analogy about a water leak. Turn off the water until you fix the problem. At the moment, Europe is being flooded.

The refugees are being crammed onto small boats, the over loaded boats are sinking.
Britain is a small island that is getting over loaded, we can't even look after our own impoverished so how the hell can we cater for others?
Goodwill is fine when you have the means to back it

Well perhaps when you have something positive to say you will ?
So far all you have done is to be totally negative ..
Is it any wonder people get despondent and look towards violence as a solution when there are people like your self around ?

Why so hostile? I have a different opinion, isn't that the freedom you wish to protect?

I think you'll find that they are already here , hiding amongst us , dormant until there time of calling comes .

closing borders will achieve nothing .

I don't have a problem with rounding up those suspected of having any links to terrorist organisations and then doing whatever is needed with them .

I also don't have any issues with the international community wiping Syria off the face of the planet , but it has to be said that even that won't stop what is happening all over the world at present .

If there is a solution , then I don't know what it is :dunno:

Taking in 20,000 people is not going to overload the uk Derek and I disagree that it is already overloaded in any case

It is the current government that is putting the squeeze on the nation and has very little to do with migration

So the NHS is managing just fine is it?
Our roads are not congested?
Our schools have enough room?

Ooops, just realised, your comment was not serious. Was it???

Yes it was a serious post and yes everything you have mentioned is under siege from the power that govern this country

I'd just like to add that all of the immigrant that I work with work harder than you ever have or ever will fella

Sounds like you know something we do not.

Care to explain what the government are up to? Cos I'm buggered if I know.

As to your comment of who works the hardest, you do not possess the knowledge to make such a statement, as you know nothing about me, so I would advise against making such foolish statements in future, fella.

In case you haven't noticed much of the NHS is staffed by migrants.

One of the finest consultants I know is Syrian, but you want to keep him out?

If you were presenting to any NHS department in an emergency (or even routinely) are you going to refused to be treated, just in case he has terrorist leanings or has been radicalised?

Just asking :dunno:

Balance is the key.

Of course the NHS is made up of many migrants. Nearly everywhere has many migrants. And more migrants are needed to look after the new migrants.

Personally, I would avoid using the NHS, even though we pay for it through our taxes, not because of the ethnic background of those that work there, but because it is so shockingly crap these days.

I'd rather treat myself with super glue and bottle of JD, or pay for private healthcare.

Recent events have changed my point of view. All doctors are not nice people. Remember the two doctors who drove a car loaded with explosives into Glasgow airport?

Very point if if the exercise is to make life harder for the criminals, however I think the main aim is to stop terror attacks in Europe, so the terrorist will use anything other than the legitimate crossing, that's how they got back into Europe in the first place. There are no easy answers, PM sure if there were then the heads of states would have taken them.

Why do you ignore the main framework of John's post and then pick out something to make his post sound like something different?

Certain irony in these words - when i asked you to expand upon personal comments you made about me earlier in this thread you were noticeable by your absence.

Probably because some of us are not sad enough to read every bit of what's posted.

My comments were, as stated, directed at your character on this forum, based on your posts on this forum, not your person in reality, which I know nothing about.

As to expanding on the comments, there should be no need, but if you want a hint, read Jaws post on DB below.

We have many migrants working & socialising in this country, closing the borders has nothing to do with them, close the borders to stop the influx of terrorists, we are supposed to have the second best intelligence agencies in the World so it shouldn't be too difficult for them to identify & route out the undesireables.

Nope.. not in your case as every opinion you suggest is very deliberately aimed at pissing people off

It is NOT a matter of a freedom to speak ones mind as you suggest.
It is a matter of instantly taking what anyone says and twisting it to your own very perverted views.

And if you cannot see that then I genuinely feel very sorry for you
