Trouble with WD 40 is it evaporates away, you really want something that leaves a lubricating film on the linkages, but is not sticky

Good luck

Back on track.

The owner cleaned up the carbs with gunk but most of the screws are stuck and the springs also so it's off to buy paraffin today. I have a feeling a dremel may come in handy to cut proper slots in the Phillips screws. I gave my impact screwdriver away with my bike so that is not an option.

A decent cross head and a toffee hammer.

Keep pressure on both down and twist and keep tapping..
Very rare that fails.

Thanks, John. I've got the butterflies working but three out of four slides are stiff and one needle is not moving. The clutch "actuator" had the fork broken but the clutch is super stiff and not actually separating the engine from the gearbox on replacement so I assume the plates are stuck and the stiffness is probably why the cast forks broke. The jobs pile up! :-0)

Carbs rebuilt.

Really needs new springs and diaphragms but should work OK. Next to see if I can remember where all the tubes go!

Fill the bowls it'll fire or run an auxiliary tank. Brighten your morning by watching the leaks flow over the hot engine.

I can hear the cogs ..... Hmmm what's in the garage I can use as a tank
