As I said befriend a muslim, then listen to what he or she has to say. Hear their anger. Or wait for the press to tell you the narrative they wish to promote. Muslims are saying and doing a lot of positive things which the press do not to report.

I have always believed that, John, until Buddhists in Asia started killing other faiths. I have never heard of atheists killing people for their beliefs or lack of.

Give humans a set of guidelines on anything, and they will have varying interpretations and extremes on their meaning. Just need to look at Health and Safety.

Whilst I can see what Davey Bee is getting at, ref ask a Muslim how they feel about things, but many of them have been asked personally on TV, and the media, not many at all have jack shit to say in condemnation, but keep wining on about how Islam is a peaceful religion, if it was so peaceful surly they would/should protest a LOT louder and harder that these fanatics are hijacking their religion, but are they?? Sadly that aint true Ian.. Because the media being what it is will not show stuff that has little impact or shows anything except what THEY ( the media ) want to put across

Even banal stuff like I'me a celeb is edited to show what the show makers want you to see ( as witnessed repeatedly when someone who has been on the show comments when they have had a chance to see what was actually put out with them in it )

We are in a world governed by the directed by television and news papers.. And they do sod all that will not inflame and increase circulation / viewing figues

Yup, muslems have never intergrated into the community they find themselves in but stick together. While it's muslims shooting and blowing up the infidels they're happy to sit back and watch.

Google "apostasy in islam" and you'll see why they dont condem their own-renouncing or criticising their own faith puts you well and truly in the brown stuff.

The extremists may well know this and know they wont get widespread condemnation from their own.

The trouble with lack of condemnation is that people like myself assume the worse and see the silence as a degree of support for the extremist. Does anyone know any Muslims and can ask why they dont protest against the extremists who are tarnishing their faith??
