You got educated in a day! Yes, your posts make me believe a day's education is all you have had. In comparison, as a fluent Arabic speaker I have visited many mosques with Muslim friends and spent time in Mecca and Medina. I have on innumerable occasions sat quietly in friend's rooms whilst they prayed. Unless you or your wife are of the Muslim faith I probably know a lot more of what makes Muslims tick than you ever will. Don't let your ignorance prevent you from shit stirring though. I have met many people from this site & I can honestly say I would meet any one of them again, there are people I haven't met but would love to meet them.
Most of us accept that each one of us is an individual with independent thoughts & opinions, that is the beauty of the relative freedom that comes from living in a civilised Western Country.
If you don't like it & you really feel that everyone who disagrees with you is a Racist then you have the right to express your freedom of choice & move to Syria or Afghanistan or even Pakistan, anywhere you like & you can then bleat all day long about the evil Westerners.

A lot of Mosques around the country are having an open day today. So here's a chance for all of us with Islamic concerns or questions to go and find out what is true or false, about what we believe. And as one of the major concerns is that we are being taken over by Muslims, there should be a Mosque near you. I'm off to the East London Mosque now. Enjoy!

I don't think anyone is offended by your original post, David. I think the issues can be summarised by the following:-

1. Some appear to be of the view that you have started another controversial thread on race and/or religion for the purpose of either casting a line fully laden with bait or you're being a troll;

2. You've brought race into the equation (sorry David, but I have to say 'as usual');

3. You've been suckered in by the notion that the muslims are really our friends; have nothing to hide; we have nothing to fear from them; and, they are honest and telling us the truth;

4. You are telling some very experienced, well-travelled and educated people that they don't know shit from clay just because their view is different from yours;

5. You have not responded to questions posed to you with simple, straight forward answers (I know that you do indeed have a bike and that you ride all year round. You're welcome @tu*);

6. You're head is firmly planted in the sand and you do not see what is going on around you;

7. You don't seem to be able to tell the difference between race and religion;
