mine aint got extenshion or rubber boot that fit into frame ,it sits just short [dont really know what it for or why ,perhaps to route choke cable!]the dams i am talking about are under the plastic infills at side of tank just about below the silver securing bolt that you see from top looking down ,or jut about whare intake is cut into fairing for carbs air..if these aint right she will draw hot air from oil cooler and turbulent air from front of bike...i had this problem before ....got bike set up on dyno and she run great but on the road run like pile of shit at constant throttle...some whare on the site this has been discussed before and a diagram of infills/dams shown..some on here have even made there own out of bits of plastic..just check them to be sure they are still there.and fitted correctly...
u mean the white looking plasticy things satin front of the airbox scoops? ?if so these have been out a long time ago...I have my hids ballists there....they been there for over 35000 miles now..plus I never had this issue before I did me service...my air box gota leg on it top left front... I take a pic when I do me coils

Apologies, I can't respond in gangsta rap;-0)) - I would be inclined to put those white plasticy things back in just as Mr Honda intended. They are there for a reason.
