Believe it or not Ed, the ?2 was still on top of the wheelie bin when we got home!

If you are going by that route, we may meet you prior to Welshpool (ie in the morning, somewhere betwixt breakfast and lunch!) however I shall leave that up to Pete to sort out with you. I know there's a rufty tufty bikers stop/transport cafe somewhere on that road, also a chip shop/transport cafe, also a pukka service area with petrol, Burger King and a Travel Lodge type place (that one's just before Shrewsbury) but I'm blowed if I can remember what exactly comes where - all I know is I can get fed pretty well all the way up to Welshpool (and Bert knows how important that is LOL) but it can be sparse after that.

As I have finished the new touring bike, this could be the first real run out of the season. :yo:

All being well, we are hoping to ride up from South Wales on the Sunday morning and meet up with you all at Welshpool.

Will let you know definitely whether we can make it in the next couple of days.

We will meet you at the services after the end of the M54 as you approach Shrewsbury on the A5.

The big one with Burger King and the Travel Lodge you will probably have to stop there for petrol anyway.

Can you let us know an approximate time you will get there.

Also can we insist that everyone including FB fills up with petrol there, as filling stations that are open on Sundays start to get a bit scarcer after that.

In line with Pete & Jenny's plans i suggest we meet up with them there at 11am ish at the Travelodge / burgler king at Shrewsbury "FUEL UP" and then travel down to Welshpool

Just went on to the Travel lodge web site to get the exact details and copy the little map did all that opened the site to post it and you had beaten me to it lol.

Got your message last night when we got home from having a wonderfull curry after Hornblowers ride out round South Warwichshire, we will meet you as per your post.

Saw your post earlier on the thread about meeting up to ride up to Welshpool on the Sunday.

We live in Caldicot, just across from Chepstow and will be leaving our house at around 9am with a group of 3 blackbirds to travel up for the rideout. You and any mates are more than welcome to meet up at ours for a coffee before hand (and if there are any left, a bacon bap :lick: )
