Fitted two stiffening struts I made to the Enfield rack and the back foot peg brackets effectively triangulating the rear subframe and strengthening that which snapped last year that could have had disastrous results.
Washed off both bikes, took the Enfield for a spin, all good, cut the lawn did the shopping and had the first salad of the year for tea.
Sitting here with a large Baileys and whiskey feeling good .
Try brandy in the Baileys.
Called Baileys because factory was beside Bailieborough in Co. Cavan.

Saturday - usual weekend chores, two hour bass lesson.

Sunday - Mass. Took Ma P to pet shop to buy stuff for the cat. While I was there, picked up 24kg food for Dumb & Dumber. Cut the grass, second cut of the year; too long and too wet, so now looks like a right mess. Ma P gave me two bottle of whiskey that she doesn't like. One of them is Penderyn, local stuff, and it's bloody lovely. Other one is some Scottish stuff and it's hideous.

Stump grinder on hire, delivered just before 09:00 this morning.
Job finished now, stumps nicely removed :)

Also work started today with new ensuite, bathroom and downstairs toilet. Plumber and assistant have removed everything from the unsuited.

Plan is to get ensuite done first, then bathroom followed by other jobs.

Got up.

Didn't feel well.

Went back to bed.

Had a kip, watched Dermot Gallagher explain why Leeds two penalty claims this weekend were a joke.

now watching the final two episodes of Dads Army so I can tick watching that lot off my list. The last couple of series weren’t all that good compared to what went before unfortunately. Too much reliance on visual knockabout falling over bumping into each other comedy rather than witty dialogue.

Paid a solicitors bill. Suspect that is why I don’t feel well.

Lovely tribute from the cast of Dad’s Army to The Home Guard at the end of the final episode.

Quite moving.

He said it began with an 'A', ya feckin' beanbag.

I'd hazard a guess that it's Ardbeg......which is basically liquidised peat. :vomiton22je:

Went to London to vist the Tower of London. We arrived at Marylebone walked to the Baker Street station, where it said the line to Tower Hill was closed, we stood there a little confused not sure our next move. I went and asked a young man if he could help.

He said he was going to Tower Hill and explained the route we needed.

In the end he escorted five ladies to Tower Hill, there are nice people out there.

We had a lovely time there and headed home, we got on the underground and then my friend lost her ticket, the staff were brilliant, they let her through the gate at the station at the underground and when we got to Marylebone they let her onto the train.

Home, and now chasing the mad parrot around the sitting room, wasn't going to let him out, I'm too soft with him

Removed the old Torbek float valve from the cold Water tank and replaced it with a nice new Fluidmaster valve…..and water hammer has disappeared :eusa_dance: . Should have been easier but the plumber decided to put all the electronic shower gubbins where the valve is so I was bent double under the roof pitch and working at arms length.

Topping up the central heating inhibitor can wait until tomorrow……

Oh, and I played forty osteospermum on site…yellow and white………will look glorious in a month or two.
