A few weeks ago, I reviewed a product I bought from Sports Bike Shop. Had a nice chat with a manager this morning about their 'You could win £100 if you review one of our products' & £100 of voucvhers just landed in my email box.

Took the Jag off to a tyre place this morning, dented inner rim but not enough for it to be un driveable. Wheel now re-balanced & swapped over with the rear n/s, so no more bad vibes, all for £20. I have it booked in with a wheel repair place but there's a long wait,. it's safe but tracking still needs checking, so will use Mrs L's car for a while.

Off out later for lunch with the parents.

A good day today. (y)

Took four old dining room chairs to the rubbish tip (sorry, waste recycling centre).
Also dumped an electric chainsaw that no longer works.

Rented a petrol chain saw (wonderfully 2 stroke :)).
Cut down around 5 metres of front garden yew hedging. Making space for skip to be put on front lawn next week. Stump grinder being dropped off on Monday to finish the job.
Once the skip is gone and other work around the house finished the last job is getting the drive widened and relaid.

Golf on a wonderful spring morning, 7am tee, had the course to ourselves.

Shot 78 including twelve pars, well chuffed after indifferent start to the year. Nearly went horribly wrong on the 14th when I found the (very wet) rough off the tee then proceeded to hack it further up the rough, pin high twenty yards from the flag in deep wet rough for four, Mickelsoned it it to 6 inches for a double bogey 6 that could easily have been a ten. Just one of those days where the golfing gods were smiling on me.

Took the groceries in (he turned up forty minutes before the allocated slot so I was still in bed), went to Morrisons, distributed three lots of shopping to various pensioners and put weed and feed down on the lawn all before 9:40am.

Quick cup of spiced orange herbal tea then off to my mums to eat her biscuits.

Our Asda delivery service is scheduled for between 1pm and 3 pm. It is very reliable and seldom after 1.40. On talking to the drivers it transpires they are tracked and are not permitted to be more than 15 minutes early. I saw one van parked up further down our road one time, he was there for a good half hour before arriving slightly early, and he told me they are told off if they are too quick.

Went to specsavers, advanced test reduced to £5 from £10, Bev’s gutted as they charged her £10 three weeks ago, my eyes have actually improved both short sightedness in right eye & astigmatism in left so that’s a result, specs being posted to me free of charge, Bev’s gutted as she had to collect hers.

In fairness we usually have the same driver and I told him it’s not a problem for us if he is early as long as he doesn’t mind seeing me in my negligee
