I'm hoping that it's weight is lower down, but I wont be buying it if it is as heavy to shove about!! seat height and bars are adjustable though, so thats a bonus, I wont have to buy any flat bars!!

No change from the bbird then on weight. I don't see the point, Ian. Get something light, sporty and sit up and beg and keep the Bbird for the Bashes. .
He can get a smaller trailer as well.........

How does that work?? if the new bike is the same weight as the Bird and Yvo's Hornet hasn't changed ??

I sold my last Bird over a year ago and have been riding a 1150GS since, I think I have had 10 blackbirds over the years and always went back to one, I struggled with comfort on the last one, combination of the weight and riding position, in my quest for comfort I fitted a straight bar conversion (I know you did this as well) and lowered the foot pegs but to no avail. I don't think I will ever have another Blackbird, happy with the 1150GS although wouldn't mind changing it for a 1200GS when funds allow.
Not as far to fall....
