Been brought to my attention that the proposed First Friday of every month might not be convenient as it would be only 2 days after the Lord Derby Meet darn sard.

Some peeps might want to attend both "get togethers" so after a few quick PM's and phone call's it's been suggested that we meet on the SECOND FRIDAY of every month !

This means our first "get togther" WILL NOW BE ON

Matlock venue won the vote by miles

So here we go....................

Venue; Matlock Motorcycles

Location; A6 just outside Matlock [not Matlock Bath] on the road to Bakewell/Manchester - see below

Date; Friday 12th March

Time; anytime from 19.00-23.00

IMPORTANT

Having spoken with the peeps that run this place, they have agreed to give us the balcony area all to ourselves free of charge ! Keeps us away from the riff raff provided that they have a rough idea of how many will be turning up

The Cafe [Food bit] normally closes at 17.30 BUT they are prepared to keep staff on to provide food for us - as long as it's commercially viable for them

HOWEVER LAST FOOD ORDERS WILL BE 20.00 STRICT
so if you want a meal - post on this thread and I'll let them know in advance

Don't whinge if you turn up wanted to be fed and haven't booked

All welcome - riders or not !

And whether I am there or not depends on the wankers that call themselves Transport section managers (otherwise known as "team leaders" or supervisors or "planners) at our depot...Couldnt organise a piss up at a brewery...:beer:

Hope you don't expect anything like the picture above!

If you do I am afraid you will be very dissapointed.

Went last Sunday ordered breakfast for two which we had to wait for, the first thing Jenny said to me was "is your bacon cold" it was!

The previous time we went on a Sunday we had Lunch luke warm meat and potato pie and chips left a lot to be desired.

The time before that was about September last year got there about 2 Oclock cafe was shut they had run out of food!! loads of bikes about quite a few hungry people.

Still we went back to Matlock Bath and had Fish and Chips freshly cooked they were excellent!!! and nice coffee too as opposed to the dishwater served at Matlock Motorcycles.

Still each to his own.

So if we do go needless to say we will eat somewhere else before we arrive!
