As weird as it seems concussion can only be diagnosed once you start developing the symptoms - dizzyness, nausea/vomiting, visual disturbances, reduced levels of consciousness.
What may have happened with Melz is a condition called "coup-contrecoup", where the brain gets the initial impact injury, and then as it "bounces" backwards in the skull you get a second injury . . . . then the swellings/bruising develops & you show the classic signs off concussion. Which is why when you?re discharged following a head injury you should always be told about the warning signs & return to the hospital!
What is concerning is the what happened or didn't happen when Melz "went off" again whilst waiting for her fracture appointment :bang: Unfortunately when you get some of the specialists staff out of their specialist field they are about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.
Get well soon Melz ;-0))
Smix will be happy to get some pictures of "uniformed totty" for you if you want :-0)
