I did it, changed the back brake pads on me ‘Bird! :aaaaa: A lot more straight forward than I thought and it only took twenty minutes (ten of that was pissing about trying to find the correct size alan head ). Only one point of concern, and I’ve left me tools in the garage just in case, and that’s a meshy thing on the back of the old pads, which wouldn’t go on the back of the new ones as there’s something similar in place.

As a point of order, I’d like to inform Mr Beaker that I actually did need a spanner. I don’t have alan keys, only alan heads for my socket set. I had to loosen the right side silencer to give me an extra couple of mill so I could get the socket handle with adapter and head out :p

Thanks again to Tony for the manual (y)

EDIT: Extra couple of mill, not milk. I wish this bastard laptop would stop thinking it knows better than me! :BangHead:

The meshy thing is an anti rattle/Squeal shim. The new pads have this already, but a different design to the old. Bin it and put yer tools away. (y)

'Allen'

You are probably the only person in the world that owns a motorised scooter and doesn't have a set of these...in fact now I have said it I wouldn't mind betting you would have found what you needed in the Bird toolkit......

Probably about a quid off eBay......

The only thing to take the piss out of is the woeful selection of tools.

The biggest tool in the garage is @Poo-Plop
