How do you stop your glasses from steaming up ?

I ride with my visor slightly open, but when stopped at a junction, whoosh, steamed up instantly.

lift the visor m8, all these singing dancing sprays etc, are all shit, they work to an extent, but if you are stood for more than a few moments you may as well be feckin blind!!!
like I say, when moving there isnt a problem with the sprays and stuff, but short of having a "blown air" system in yer lid theres sweet FA you are going to be able to do about it!!
and before anyone brings up "breath deflectors" they don't work either,!! :f as well as being awkward to wear if you have to keep "removing" your lid when filling up at Tesco

What about laser eye surgery. 8l1nd

Glasses steam up.
Contacts have to be taken out and put in.

I'd have it done but for the expense and the fact it's probably irreversible if they f*** up.

Often thought about it......don't know anyone who has tried it. I'd like to hear from someone who has had it done to learn of their experience before commiting to it meself !!!!!

Supa.

I was round at some friends on Christmas eve and their 24 year-old had had it done about 3 months ago. He said his sight was spot on, he was only in discomfort for about 24 hours, but it can take up to about 3 months for the eyes to heal 100%. He had that one done where they lift the cornea and remove some of the eyeball and then replace the cornea and leave it to heal naturally.

He's the only one I know who has had it done.

I had laser eye surgery 4 years ago because of glasses steaming up. forgeting I had the fookers on when taking helmet off at Tescos  ( painful ) Also for scuba diving, tennis squash etc.

Tried contacts for several years, fooken pain in the ass, somedays all OK next day sore eyes, tried the ones you keep in for a month at a time, they were great apart from the fact that they were distroying my eyeballs.

So it was laser treatment.

Went to a place in Manchester cost was ?900 ish ( they were having a BOGOF sale True ).

My eyesight was not that bad so only had the eyes lasered not the one where they lift a flap of eye and then burn it. Nowt to it really, the only really odd bit is you have to stare at the red light and then you feel no pain but the smell of burning flesh ( Eyeball ) was the only iffy bit.

Had major discomfet for about 24 hours pain like arceye was all sorted in 2 - 3 days.

Although it can take 3 - 4 weeks before your eye sight returns to normal. With me it took about 5 days. I can always remember waking up and for the first time in years being able to see the clock on the video over the other side of the room. Downsides are some people have flare at night from lights coming towards them. I dont have that problem, I just miss stop signs.

I would recommend it to anyone.

Anyone intrested I will sort out the paperwork and get the name of the people that did it.

A girl i work with had it done in an afternoon, she was back in work the NEXT day although she was sent home by the gaffer for being stoopid c7u8 .

A trick that works on relatively short journeys, is smear the lenses with a small amount of washin up liquid then rub well in with tissue paper, I used to do this before setting off for work.

Eye surgery

My boss had both of his eyes done at the same time - a sort of "while you wait job" He used a company called Ultralase I think.
He has discomfort for about 2 days - it was in the Summer so the glare probably didn't help. Right as rain now, which is just as well as the mad twat drives a 5 litre AMG!

I suffer from astigmatism and would need the most expensive type of contact lenses going so I stick to glasses. Was told by optician that lasering wasn't practical as at my age eyesight is going to start deteriorating gradually whatever I do! Now I eat lots of carrots and hope for the best.
