that the "legal" part of the site is actually full of mostly unused properties
... but the owners have said any attempt by anyone to actually use them would be trespass

And I have the right, under an ancient law which, to this day, has not been repealed, as a Welshman to shoot any Englishman crossing the border with a longbow. The reciprocal courtesy extends to the English.

I've read the Mash before so knew it was a joke before I clicked the link.
However, my response was not a joke. The law for Welsh and English to shoot each other with longbows for crossing the border has never been repealed. If memory serves, it's posted to a tree somewhere in Chepstow.
The Scilly Isles are still officially at war with the Netherlands too. :-0)
