Hello,
just thought I'd say that.
Second post on here, I've been reading through the posts on here doing a bit of research before taking (or not) the plunge into Blackbird ownership.
I currently ride a 650 VStrom, which I bought to replace a ZZR600, thinking that I was getting too old to be enjoying all that rapid acceleration and induction roar, and that what I needed was something a bit more sensible that just sounded nice.
After a year of being sensible I have realised I'm missing that rush, I need that drug again, and remembering a ride on a mates Bird (nnnnoooooo, not her, his bike) a few years ago thought an 1100XX might give me my fix.
Just a few things bother me about the Bird, looking on here shows they can nearly all be fixed, I ride at night (shift worker) and the headlight's not known for it's brilliance, I'm a bit on the short side (though I manage the VStrom) and they don't make them any more (my VStrom's an '11 reg bike, the newest Bird I've seen is an '08 plate bike up in Newcastle so will still be 3 or 4 years older than my bike), so I could end up paying for something that's older, but that's just a mental block, not a real problem if the bike's clean.
And then there's the amount of 'bling' I'll need to buy for it 8rfl@
