From their website so got to be true. It’s not.
The best tapas bar outside Spain is Il Pirata in Down Street, Mayfair.
Absolute piffle. ‘Our tapas dishes have quickly won a glowing reputation’….in the owner’s minds. Last time I went there I had the trots for a week. From their website so got to be true.

You got a hammer arrestor on the supply to it?Went for a lovely walk along the spcoastsl path at Eastbourne starting at Bede’s School and ending at the pier. Followed by an excellent Mediterranean Breakfast with a side of un Mediterranean black pudding.
MEDITERRANEAN BREAKFAST
£11.50
Two poached free-range eggs, feta, chopped salad, labneh, chilli oil & toasted flatbread
The went to Sports Direct to get a couple of golf gloves. Amazing array of brands and sizes except the ones I wanted. Obviously.
Now home, just about to clean out the non return valve in the macerator as it is allowing water back in to the main body and firing up randomly and yet again reset the pressure reducing valve in the oncoming mains to try and stop the water hammer that reappeared yesterday.. Sure the incoming pressure fluctuates wildly as it is alright for a while then comes back.
Eh??You got a hammer arrestor on the supply to it?
Not even in the top twenty in London..It’s not.

Oh, didn’t know such things existed! The issue appears to be the float valve in the cold water tank ‘bouncing’ instead of simply cutting the mains supply. I fitted a pressure reducing valve to the mains supply a few years ago and that has largely worked but occasionally the issue recurs - I try a different setting in the valve and it always seems to sort it…for a while. You got a hammer arrestor on the supply to it?
I had a similar problem on one of my toilets. My first step was to replace the old filler with one of these:Oh, didn’t know such things existed! The float valve is a reasonably new but old fashioned ‘arm with orange ball on the end’ and I suspect I Should change this for a more modern unit with a ‘vertical’ float and maybe ‘delayed filling’ feature?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
It is the float valve in the tank in the attic that seems to be where the hammering originates. i have just reset the pressure valve in the main supply to 2.5 bar and it seems to have done the trick…for the moment.Having just re read your thread I may have misunderstood. My toilet is fed directly from the mains supply and not from a tank in the loft. If it is the ball valve in the loft banging then I'd still try a hammer arrestor in the feed to it. They are cheap enough to be worth a try.
Sadly two died on Ladies day.Been amazed by the fact that as far as I can see no horses were killed yesterday as a result of running in The Grand National.
