And innocent suspects?Jono said:"No matter there are plenty more trainee divers"!

Am I supposed to get annoyed, the way others have done when challenged? I won't descend to that level; others are more familiar than me down there. :t

I have 3 decent rescues on my scoreboard- one was where I had to take a fair amount of personal risk to save a guy I barely knew.Jono said:Sleep well RH, safe in the comfortable knowledge that there are people out there who are willing to take risks and put there life on the line if need be.
personally I think he's just a wind up merchant and has filled his net!!!!!!!!!! :dunno: :}:} But then who knows!!!!!!!!!!!!! You could be right DK, or he could just be saving for a much bigger net and wooden spoon for the fishing and stirring he does?? !!! :neenaw: :dunno:derek kelly said:Rh Just tell us what trouble you have been in with the Police, out of your 60 posts since June 2003 most of them are having a dig in some form or another, could it be that you got caught nicking bricks for your dodgy construction business? or you got caught cutting corners on health & safety? or perhaps selling alcohol to underage kids? or allowing drugs to be used on the premises? cos we all know what a dodgy lot bar owners are, my advice mate is to move on don't dwell on the past, ok so some copper stitched you up, you have learnt a valuable lesson then 'Life isn't always fair'

Now see - I could take exception to virtually all of that paragraph, but on the other hand - its only a generalisation, so I shan't!!!!!!!!!!derek kelly said:I have also had dealings with bar owners [oddly enough many bar owners tend to be gay] they too tend to think they are above the law ie letting their staff physically abuse people who they have sold too much alcohol to, adding methanol to their spirits & selling them at extortionate prices as alcopops.
Excellent- I resemble those remarks!derek kelly said:maybe the time in obscurity was time detained behind bars.......... tend to be gay.........think they are above the law ..........ie letting their staff physically abuse people who they have sold too much alcohol to, adding methanol to their spirits & selling them at extortionate prices as alcopops.
Glad to hear it, I don't think you'll find too many self important people on here but you will find many strong minded characters that will defend their corner, as you have probably guessed by now I too like nothing more than a controversial debate.rovinghawk said:Excellent- I resemble those remarks!
No, I've never been arrested, let alone charged, tried or convicted. I just enjoy winding up self-important people (of which there's a fair supply in the world) and also like a controversial debate where strong opinions are held.
I don't think you can fully assess someone just by their postings on a forum I think you need to have known someone a while before you can fully assess their character, however first impressions can sometimes be accurate but at the end of the day we are all individuals with our own thoughts & opinions, as for the abuse, on this forum it is standard practice amongst friends some friends who have never met but have gleaned a bit of knowledge regarding personalities over the time they have been corresponding. Take myself & Barrie for instance we have never met but I know that he is an honest hard working tradesman who takes pride in his experience & his work & rightly so, but on the other hand Barrie knows me to be a tight fisted sod who begrudges paying out good money for work that I know I can do myself.rovinghawk said:A good row is a fairly accurate way of assessing people too- do they debate in an intelligent, reasonable manner or quickly resort to abuse? Form your own opinions based on that.

No- there's been quite a lot of rowing going on here.derek kelly said:I thought they only did Rowing.............at Cambridge :dunno:
