Why not have dentists help out.
My dentist happy to help.
They can help if they meet the criteria.

My son's father in law is a fairly recently retired dentist - he is providing voluntary medical support at the jabbing point but is not qualified to administer jabs.

That seems daft.
Dentist's administration of injections much more complicated.

Don't ask me. Possibly different levels of accreditation for different type of jabs being administered, maybe different accreditation for working in a small surgery to a massive factory type environment.

Happily there doesn't seem to be a shortage of jabbers, but there is still a need for non-medical support in my area.

I didn't know you identified as being a piss-stained old fart...? :yikes:
I don't. The point was that I think the overwhelming majority will be forced, or at least attempted, to have the jab. Thing is, I'm going to be watching how this develops like a shithouse rat. Someone, somewhere will force a legal challenge that it's their human right not to be vaccinated yet they can't go on a cruise (I expect other operators to follow suit, but I imagine the US-based ones will think it through a bit first).

A lot to do with where you live, too. I could do it if I lived in Engerluuund but I can't do it here.

Well, along with my colleagues, we have been invited by the NHS to go over to Wexham Park Hospital, probably on Saturday for the first of our jabs as we are considered front line social and care workers.

However, we have to book in first. So I have got home gone to the appropriate sign and the first question asked is "Confirm your date of birth"

So I type it in, and it tells me I am wrong. So I type it in several more times, and it still tells me I am wrong.

So now I am waiting for a response back from work to confirm what details they gave the NHS  I can't go any further with booking until I get past the first hurdle. Bit rich though telling me that my birthdate is wrong......

That aside, we are now taking quite a few people to the new vaccination centre that has started up using the Waitrose sports and social club in Bracknell. Fantastic facilities, it is taking each patient on average 20 minutes from start to finish and it is a constant stream of people going in with all the parking and queuing well co-ordinated.

The staff working there also have some fantastic facilities, so they are well looked after as well.

I am back there twice tomorrow.

Just got to sort out my own booking...

You could argue that the right of a company to refuse you entry, etc. because you haven't had (or can't prove you've had) the jab comes under the same principle as say a pub refusing you entry because you look pissed or are wearing work overalls.

Good luck with the parking at Wrexham Park, unless it's become mega quiet the longest queue will be the one to find a parking space.

The Waitrose facility is where my parents had their jabs done, said it went well.

Have you seen the size of the receptacle..?
Not even opened the box yet...Gonna start next Monday and then Friday.
Can't wait for a false negative, then it's another half hour for re-test, another half hour from the sh@t hole.
May stick it up next doors cats 'A' hole, but knowing my luck it will read 'you've got feline aids.'

Wexham Park is one of our regular trips (along with the RBH, Frimley Park, Heatherwood & Newbury) and not had a problem with Wexham Park in recent months.

Even the RBH has been pretty good, except our designated parking area where every contractor has decided that it is theor own personal parking area and the Hospital staff do nothing about it, but that's another story.

Frimley is by far and away the worst :(

This is slightly different. We all have our views on the jab; aside from my allergies, I’m quite concerned about having that shit injected into my body when it’s been developed so quickly. The potential for side effects is enormous but whether or not there are any is not something we’re likely to find out for years, possibly decades. That’s a bit different to someone who’s inappropriately dressed or has had one too many.

Not likely to be a concern for me then.. Though it would be very nice if it was !
