I'm way too young to be offered a jab any time soon. Not that I'd have it, anyway.

Mother in Law has had hers and I am taking a lot of people to the various vaccination centres in the area (6 tomorrow I think)

I am in Group 6, so probably the next batch, but that said we may be pushed to the front of the queue as the local health authority think we should be treated as a special case because we are transporting the old and most vulnerable.

Anyway, we have had to provide our authorisation and NHS number if we are agreeable. Dam right I am agreeable.....

The Doris has had it and the Mither-in-Law.

If anyone wants the jab before their due group, you should go to the jabbing centre near the end of the day- they'd rather stick unused vaccine in any arm rather than throwing it in the bin.

The wife's had hers but only because she's NHS.
As I'm just a sprog compared to most on here, I'll get mine sometime this year. Probably.

There’s a guy hangs out round the Town centre reckons he’s got some legit stuff, got it out of the bins at the back of local covid centre, I know he’s qualified to give injections & dispense meds cos I’ve seen him inject himself, strange way of taking paracetamol though, powders it down then sniffs it up his nose.

I'm in Tier 7, Mrs Beaker 8 so some way off. Both are mums (Tier 2) being jabbed in next two days, and almost all those qualifying in the retirement (not 'care') home where my mum lives have been done.

A bit odd here; the town has a population of c27,000 and a significantly higher than average age demographic. We don't have anywhere in the town doing jabs at the moment so everyone is having to travel to Eastbourne (about 8 miles away)and that is causing some genuine issues.

What is interesting is that nobody seems to be providing any updates on how the town is progressing in terms of jabs given - other local towns that have jab centres like Lewes (much smaller) and Eastbourne have easily accessible updates provided by the local authority. Anecdotally it appears to be going well here but the lack of information is morphing rapidly into 'its a shambles' on social media by those that habitually moan about everything while contributing nothing. And as we all know suddenly it suddenly become fact.

Once again proving that lack of information is almost as damaging as bad news.
