Would that be SHINY black then ? :}

I believe that the aircraft that the Blackbird gets it's livery from is Matt black so as not to reflect the sun.

:lol: HE HE! Like it. Had a stealth for a year now and use Autoglum stuff on it. At the end of the day the paint needs protecting so you've got to use something. It has a sheen to it now but it's still matt. They do a good wax that gets layed on as opposed to rubbed, left for 30 or so mins and gently wiped off. Very good. As for the tank. Baglux cover and make sure you ask for 1 with the CBR logo on it. Some are just plain. Use a good wax before putting the cover on. As for matt paint. It has a micro finish to it that refracts as opposed to reflects most of the light. Hence it looks matt. In the aircraft version it absorbs radar and is therefor 'invisible' to it.

baglux. great stuff. and it if you get a bag you know longer need to carry a rucksack, or put your keys in your pocket, somewhere for your wallet, phone etc...

i just got one for my r1100s for ?80 from hein gericke.

for those who don't EVER take the cover off, it might be a good idea to do so after you've washed the bike, and every few weeks to make sure the tank is dry underneath - trapped moisture will damage your tank otherwise. best to fit the baglux cover when it is hot, so you can stretch the leather tighter over the tank.

Totally agree with that Rods. However took mine off after 8 days near solid rain on the other side of the channel and all was dry. Most impressed. Still, it comes off once a month for a good look over.

i think there's more of a danger of trapped moisture under the baglux in winter, when it's not hot enough to evaporate any trapped moisture.
