To protect the tank of a Stealth (Matt) Blackbird,
when I bought the bike I was told just clean it with a mixture of warm water and car/bike shampoo, when I asked what can I put on to protect it the dealer didn't have a clue,
I have plenty of autoglym resin polish but as I don't want the tank to shine I do not use it.
And no I do not want to respray it Red(pink) Blue, Tit anium, or any other colour,

Dez,

Get on eBay and in the search box type (Bagster, Baglux) including the brackets, and see what there is.

I got mine off there for ?55 inc postage, and I think they're about ?90 new.

If there's nothing doing, then "Lucy Pinder's Dad", alias Bob, sells all the luggage.

DK, use the Autoglym polish on it, the polish is soooooooo shite that there's no chance of the primer tank shining. Why clean it anyway???????????? :bang:

Yeah, this winter Ive turned into a fair weathered biker, since I live so close to the plant it just seamed like a tad too much fuss to get kitted up for a 10 minute urban ride only to leave a new bike in the rain for 12 hours before another 10 minute ride home.

Thanks for the offer though, but Ive already got a tank cover, its been on the bike since I bought it

FFT, It's amazing the number of folk that buy these matt paint schemes :f , then wonder what the *ell do I do with it :bang: , afterwards! :t :dunno: :neenaw: :violin: %$fan

thing is Simon, unless someone actually buys the bike(paint scheme) and lived with it, who's to know ??? one thing these Bike Magazines don't do is actually live with the things, :dunno:
{yeah one or two exceptions} :rolleyes:
and unless you are already a member of Bird or ixxra, or know someone with a "dodgy" paint finish to tell you, the dealers ar-nt going to tell you it has a "limited" matt life span!! :dunno:
and as the owners will tell you, they do look good, :wank: new!!
still at least they didn't buy a "gay" Blue one, so thats in their favor!! :}

Nowt wrong with mine.......wots all the fuss, and why is it people who don't have a Matt black 'Bird are wingeing about them? Perhaps their thinking in hindsight that a colour scheme that actually matched the name might have been a good idea :xm . Redbird.....HMmm, nope :wank: . Bluebird.....HMmmm, nope :wank: . Blackbird....AHhh thats it, spot on! :beer:
