The original CB750 ..... but all I could afford was a CD175 on which I passed my test.

Now, aint that a coincidence!

I too passed my test on a Honda CD 175, Candy Blue it was. I was 17 at the time. Those were the days.

I tried very hard to write it off when it was only one month old, rode it into the side of a car driven by a bloody myopic old lady who decided to reverse out in front of me.

I then longed for a Triumph Daytona, all 500 c.c.'s of it. My Dad refused to lend me the money for a bigger bike though, so ended up passing my car test instead.

I also dreamed of owning a Honda CB750 K4. The nearest I ever got to it was taking a demonstration one out for the afternoon, boy, I remember the exitement to this day.

Oh, the ramblings of a sad old git.

Mike.

Moto Guzzi LeMans MkI

Thought these were SEX on wheels.....Brother always wanted the Jota............We both ended up with CB900F's......... :violin:

These could pass most things except a fuel station!

Had CB900, GT380 and 400/4 along with Husky Crosser and Ossa MAR all at the same time (good when you are single)..Then one night I almost sold up and went down the two stroke route! Friend lowned me his OLD RD400........fun........!

Next temtation was when I swopped CB900 for a day with a friend who rode an early RG250 MkII so he could take his girlfriend along............flat as a fart..then the tacho's hit 6,000.........I want one was the first impression!

Two weeks later we were rebuilding the engine............then again we used to rebuild his RM125 every two weeks followed by every two weeks folowed by.......yeap, but it was fun!!!!

Nowdays I love the Blackbird...but must admit my GSXR has more devil in it :neenaw:

My first bike

was a very very bad Honda CG125. I blew it up!! The piston seized as I had forgotton to check the oil  Did have it rebored but was never the same again, was kind of ropey anyway though.

So basically dream bike was anything that ran!!!

For looks only I would like an MV Augusta in the red and silver.

Again, as I like naked bikes, a Kawasaki Z1000, love the lines.

Practically though, a bike that does not fall over, spit you off, and that I can put both feet flat on the ground, Oh and one that can correct rider error!!!

Must have been feeling daft but all i wanted was a 900 cc Ducati Hailwood Rep, or on a realistic day a Gpz750 Turbo c7u8 Never got to own either but scared myself on a test ride of the Gpz

Guess the era

If you were into four strokes, it was a GPz. if you liked buying oil and petrol it was the YPVS 350LC :yo:
