After watching the excellent ITV dramatisation of the John Stonehouse affair earlier in the week watched the follow up factual documentary today.

I should have known….Gale force biting cold wind up on the cliffs.
I went to Specsavers for a well overdue hearing test. The young lady (yes Powlo, very fit too) did several tests on me, and then put revised software into my hearing aids, deleted an old app, and installed a new one to my iPhone. She then gave them a service cleaning out the microphones - something I hadn’t known what to do and got rid of loads of detritus.
So how’s that now? She said. Absolutely like the difference between chalk and cheese, everything is so much clearer now. Additionally using the app I can adjust them to suit noisy surroundings like parties/crowded rooms, make them forward facing only, can change bass and treble as needed.
On getting home now I can already turn down the sound on the TV and my surroundings are so much clearer.
I’m very impressed so far.
