Wrong conspiracy, invented to take attention from the real corruption, Platini & Blatter were the ones who took the bung from Qatar to stage the World cup there, the return favour for Platipus is for it to be rigged for France to win.
Well, I did say ‘if you believe faecebook……’

Averted another flood disaster.

mrs B noticed a damp patch on the wallpaper late last nigh After I had collapsed in bed after a,long day and journey back from Paris.the effing joint that caused the £40k flood was just about to let go again, had started dripping and probably hours away from separating. So much for the plumber that came in to fix the original problem …there was still strain on the compression joint. Spent 5.75 hours today is a cold attic figuring out how to reconfigure the pipework. Just finished plumbing it in, too knackered to test for leaks tonight so it’s a cold house and a nervous night.

interesting what you notice when you really start looking at things…the plumber that originally installed the central heating did a good job on clipping the pipes…other than half of them hadn’t been screwed in. Others had been screwed to,chipboard flooring that wasn’t secured to the rafters.

Also, discovered I have many, many 22mm olives that do not fit 22mm pipe. Happily I had exactly the right amount that did fit I needed to do the job.

The Beemer was on holiday while I was working on the Burgervan. Today I retrieved it and took it for a short run.
Decided to do the same for the Bird and filled both with petrol.

Tuesday - drove all the way to Saxthorpe, Norfolk and back for a funeral. 556 miles round trip, 49mpg (was well over 50 until Mrs Schumacher took over the driving).

Today, drove all the way to Bearsted, then Maidstone in the Garden of England and back to collect turkey and see me mates in the gym. 399 miles, 51.2mpg.

Since when has Maidstone been in North Yorkshire? Your geography needs work.

Picked up a couple of bunches of flowers that we’ve then taken and put on her parent’s grave at the cemetery. :(

I can’t do the same for my parents as they were cremated, dad scattered mum’s ashes, and then my sister scattered dad’s. Not my thing and I refused to be present, I have a need to attend a plot in a cemetery not a scrap of land in the wilds.

Then I’ve finally sorted my water leak in the garage, rebuilt the cabinets and refilled them with essentials.

Then adjusted the primary drive belt on the Commando and adjusted the final drive chain. The battery (lithium) is charged and all I need do next is add engine oil and take it for a run. Will I get a chance before this year is out? I think I only rode it once this year, ill health really screwed things up in 2022.

My dad and 50% of my brother are scattered in a beautiful spot overlooking The Seven Sisters by the side of the fourteenth fairway. Allows me to talk to them every time I play and my mum can see the spot from her window, Works for us and I will be joining them in due course.

When in the garden I spend a lot of time talking to George the moggie who is buried next to the shed.

Are those Wade bells?
i have quite a sizeable selection of the Wade Bells bells…
I inherited them from my mum, I’ve no idea, but she never bought cheap. They maybe proper nice. There’s another load below that shelf. I’d bet any really nice ones were already snaffled by my sister before I got there.

Put 20 litres of fuel in the Bird from 2 new 10 litre jerry cans I bought last week. + 30ml of profi fuel additive.
Key in ignition and the battery is flatter than a witches tit. Well, it would be as I've not touched it since the RTA.
Battery now on charge via the CTEK
with Charge & Recond selected.

Following the installation of the nextbase front/rear dash cams on Tuesday I noticed that the DAB radio kept losing signal, always been rock solid before.

Tracked it down to the rear dashcam which had been fitted without using a ferrite core - one is supplied with the hard wire power kit but not for the rear dash cam wire to the front.

Dug a ferrite core out and fitted it, sorted and DAB radio now fine.

Sent a message to nextbase, not impressed as I'd paid for "professional fitting".

I'm sure the ferrite core could be put on the wire behind the trim rather than outside where I've had to put it. I paid for fitting so I didn't need to risk damaging plastics trim removing it.

See what they say.
