Booked an outdoor picnic at a rather lovely local vineyard to mark our forthcoming wedding anniversary.

Mucho brownie points :p

Andy I don’t think you’re a huge distance from me but if you’re ever Hampshire may I suggest
All free, extremely pleasant and quiet with great sun traps and views. Parking is secure and free too. Quite a history behind the house too.

The Grange is some lump of a building.
It would have been a pity to demolish it.
Interior shots would be interesting.
Must go look

Carpentry.

For the avoidance of doubt, I am not a carpenter and have never claimed to be one.

wondered why I ate some mixed nuts last night. After all this time I should have learned to avoid as they give me indigestion.

Bev loves peanuts but they play havoc with her diverticulitis, doesn’t stop her eating them though, must be worth the pain.

Really worth it. It’s a pleasant drive out there too but the driveway in is a little bumpy and dusty as is the car park.

Trimmed the hawthorn hedge at the bottom of the garden, pruned the shrubs and trimmed the yew hedge in the front garden.
Garden waste bin is now full ready for collection tomorrow after which I'll cut the lawns.
Strange but I used to compost all the garden waste until the council insisted I had to have a big green wheely bin for garden waste. So I stopped composting as otherwise I had nothing for the council bin.
Apparently I'm now more green as the council can boast about how much recycling they do ;)

Loads of post lockdown travellers and loads of bikes out.

Tomorrows plan is to try and find the BIRD in my postage stamp sized garage.
I know it's in there somewhere!

Saturday: Walked the pup and managed to find another dog, little Staffy boy (very unusual colour, blue and brindle with white patches). With the assistance of our postie, managed to reunite him with his owner, about a mile down the road. Little sod had escaped.
Gave the front lawn its first cut of the year.
Watched a bit of Prince Phillip's funeral and felt sorry for the Queen sat on her own. Fuck covid, she shouldn't have been on her own like that and neither should anyone else in that situation. Loved his hearse, though. The man is a legend!
Walked the pup again.

Sunday: went to Mass.
Went out on the 'Bird for the first time since last October. Overtook a quad bike on the road up Bwlch mountain and scared myself shitless; I'd forgotten how quick the old girl is!
Helped Mrs P chop a bush down that is apparently destroying one side of the garden. Fed most of it through the mulcher that our predecessors thoughtfully left behind in the garage when they moved out.
Walked the pup.
