Just finished a book by Ian Burgess called 'Barry Sheene' and my part in his downfall, Not that much about Bazza but a very interesting insight into the motorcycle industry! :)

I'm sure I read something like that by Spike Milligan many years ago.
About his National Service.

Adolf Hitler my part in his downfall, haven't read it in years bloody hilarious though (y)
And the other 4 or so books in the set. (y).
I still remember Milligan telling the story about when he first met Harry Secombe (who was also in the Long Range Snipers in North Africa).
Milligans unit were manning heavy artillery at the top of a hill when one of the guns broke loose while being fired and shot backwards downhill towards a Royal Artillery field camp. The artillery piece shot through the camp without hitting anyone or doing any damage.
Milligan was sent down to retrieve it and on arriving at the camp, met Secombe (who had almost been flattened by the gun).
Milligan: Has anyone seen a field gun pass through here.?
Secombe: What colour was it.?

In that case, she owes you. Time for a bit of emotional blackmail.

Get the bottom lip out if you have to (that's not a euphemism, by the way).
In her defence, we still have a few more things to do in the house before we’re done so it’s prolly prudent to get the last bits out of the way then see how much is left in the slop chest.

Hang on, she had a new car last week, too.........................

Had a load of garden waste taken away.

He said he would be here ‘first thing’.

6.35am :yikes:

Bet the neighbours were impressed. Probably only just got back to sleep after next doors milkman had another go at the ‘who can make the most noise at 4am in a quiet residential area’ world record.

And why would anyone need milk delivering daily in 2021?
