yes, very true, but I didn’t want to further confuse Minkey. Not that the box will be of much use as we’re having to change holiday location yet again. First it was France, FCO say don’t go there. Then it was Norway, now Norway don’t want Brits from 22nd Aug. So unless it all goes tits up destination will be germany and maybe Italy.

I have given up taking any notice of govt issued 'do this / dont do that' shite
But you can do a lot worse than Germany..
Places of note for us are:
Bad Durkheim
ANY where along the Mosel
ANY where along the upper Rhine
And if you fancy seeing where Great Escape was filmed head to Fussen. Fantastic Stellplatz right in the town ( but needs to be checked as there was a rumour it was going to be closed and moved )
A visit to the dams is worth while and we found free spots looking over two of them. with free water, dumps, and optional hookup ( 6 amps ) for a few euros a day
If you fancy Berlin there is a site that is about € 10 a day at Spandau... Get a day pass for the trains and buses and have a really great day touring the city

I've ridden around Germany but not stopped often to look at the views, now is the time I reckon.
The sole reason I’m mostly doing as per the FCO is because My wife is in the at risk group and doesn’t drive. If something happens to me outside of the FCO List then our travel insurance is null and void. If I was doing it on my own I wouldn’t worry, but at least the insurance will repatriate her.

Ran the scarifier over the bits of lawn that Green Thumb have failed on. started second pull, pleased with that after not being used for about three years.

Cut the grass and loads of verges as the council don't do them any more.

Started to paint the garage floor, managed 1/2 or so, a second coat tomorrow, leave it a couple of days and move everything across so I can do the same to t’other 1/2.

Watched the Newhaven - Dieppe ferry leave port this morning - blooming glad I wasn't on it, bobbing up and down quite a lot.....
