I know that lots of people think that the Police are spoiling bikers fun, but surely you knew that your reg plate and zorst were illegal when you fitted them? If its illegal then you should accept that you are running the risk of getting caught, and take it on the chin when you are.

I know that giving out tickets for exhausts does nothing to help casualty figures but you should see the number of complaints we get from residents of quiet villages that now sound like race tracks because of all the bikes and boy racers (yes they get complained about too)

If your reg plate and exhaust had been legal on that day you would have been left alone, and enjoyed your day. Its not the Police's fault for giving you a ticket. In my opinion, you cant choose which laws are ok to break, and which aren't.

Having said that, there is no excuse for bad attitudes from the Police. At the end of the day I suspect that you wouldn't have felt so bad about it if you'd have been treated with a bit of respect.

Fair point,but

It's the manner with which your dealt with that usualy gets up peoples noses.

If you have an illegal reg plate or end can you can expect to attract attention, but not the attitude to go with it.

But if you ride like a twat and get pulled then you can expect a bit of the third degree.

hi nitehawk,i know the SWCP are fookin winkers and are only there to generate money/funds,and i can beleive the barstuards tried to frame you mate, but don't think they're as bad as brunstrom's bunch....only just ,mind you :dunno: ah fook it, :shooter: them all, fookin killjoys.

Yeah, but the video evidence proved that I was not speeding, the LTi 20/20 recorded an 'error 3' message then 54mph ! the person reviewing the tapes before action was taken and the porcine fellow in the van must have known that an offence had not been committed but proceeded to prosecute anyway !

When the video proved my case, they immediately dropped the speeding said that it was no longer an issue an the fact that I had not ID'd the driver was all they were intending to prosecute for so I must go to court again in July, Tossers ! :shooter:

Worst part is, I am considering taking action against them with a view to publicising the result so that this doesn't happen again but the chances that I can get my hands on the video again are very slim.

In effect, I am being prosecuted for not identifying the driver in an offence that never took place. Dumb fcuks ! :bang:

I know racing exhausts and small plates have always been a bone of contention and personally, I wouldn't bother to fit either. However, bearing in mind that the government doesn't give a rat's for anything aside from revenue generation, you might as well break the law. You're gonna get screwed either way so might as well be on your own terms, enjoy yourselves ! c7u8

Sorry to hear you had a bad time in N. Wales last Sunday, we were in the same area on the Saturday, almost no bikes to be seen and strangely enough no cops either.

Fantastic roads, won't say which ones! but try again on a Saturday and keep clear of the well known tourist areas, talk to the local guys, they will put you right

Ever wondered why race pipes aren't banned for sale to Joe public, if they were the goverment wouldn't get the revenue from VAT and the police wouldn't get revenue from you having them.

Me,I continue to run the risk, stuff em. :f

the manufacturer of them is now getting clever by producing road/race cans
which are marked "for road use" with removeable baffles,so the owness is on YOU as to wether you keep them in or remove them :dunno: .
s'pose you could at least argue the point with plod as to etc etc.

but your right in what you say IMHO,both the government and police are getting revenue from us for the illegal use of them. Also how can one say that the straight through pipes on say a harley davidson or similar cruiser that make one hell of a racket are legal and yet not the ones that we fit to our bikes which sometimes make only half the decibels are not, fookin doesn't make sense to me.

well rant over

Re

I knew the risks of running a number plate 1/2 inch smaller than the legal requirements,I knew the risks for using "Illegal" exhausts,?3o in the greater scheme of things is Phook all and doesn't bother me that much, I deserve to get fined if I break the law,What I do object to is some jumped up phuck bad attitude bike copper giving it Welcome to Wales,as for being left alone I seriously doubt that, because if that twat on the bike hadn't got us then I'm pretty sure the other 2 Revenue traps with-in the 10 miles from Bala would have been more than happy to have relieved of more ???? if we hadn't been warned of their hi-jack up ahead.

I know there only doing what there gaffers say and its a job,but for phook sake I didn't fook his daughter and goose his mother........... a civil attitude would have been welcome
