They are amazing watches in terms of engineering but, leaving aside the fact I couldn't afford one without selling my entire collection, they don't blow my skirt up. Too 'in yer face' for my liking.Never mind all the connotations or how a 22 year old from Azerbaijan came to own the thing..

For discreet but exceptional engineering, look at Grand Seiko. The name is off-putting for badge snobs and they're relatively expensive for what is ostensibly a Seiko (think Lexus to Nissan) but some watch experts will tell you that they are better engineered than a Rolex. I wouldn't disagree, certainly not in public anyway.
