Never mind all the connotations or how a 22 year old from Azerbaijan came to own the thing..
I am just blown away by the beautiful engineering of the watch....

They are amazing watches in terms of engineering but, leaving aside the fact I couldn't afford one without selling my entire collection, they don't blow my skirt up. Too 'in yer face' for my liking.

For discreet but exceptional engineering, look at Grand Seiko. The name is off-putting for badge snobs and they're relatively expensive for what is ostensibly a Seiko (think Lexus to Nissan) but some watch experts will tell you that they are better engineered than a Rolex. I wouldn't disagree, certainly not in public anyway.

I’ve been fascinated by watches since I was a little boy. If I had the combined wealth of Bill Gates, Tim Cook, Roman Abramovich and you, I still wouldn’t drop that much on a watch. The absolute furthest I’d go is just over £100k on one particular Panerai, but that’s another story.

All joking aside (for once), I cannot imagine why any sane person would wear something so expensive and, at the same time, so ostentatious. I think twice about wearing an expensive watch in London if I’m in short sleeves so what this twat was thinking is beyond my comprehension.
