My dealer has my details and said I'd be invited but I've got nothing at all. I did decide running a brand new bike was crazy due to the miles I do so perhaps he read my mind.

We went to Victor Divine Glasgow on Saturday to find out about the VFR1200 launch this Saturday & to book a test ride only to told you will only get a test ride if you have ordered one! so what if you are thinking about changing bike (NOT) quote the sales man "No order no test ride after all it's a Honda & will be better than your current ride" quote Me "Stick yer VFR up your arse pal we wont be buying it here" Sales man "we are the only Honda dealer in town" Me "What I won't ride to Two Wheels Edinburgh or North Harbour Ayr or for the hell of it go down south" we then marched out, only to see a Blue Bird pulling up with Honda panniers (who was it??:dunno:) we did not stop as we were off to the SECC for the Caravan & Camping Show where we never purchased a thing.

Dark Angel

Still kickin' it!

Well I can only say that particular observation is in the eye of the beholder

Thing is as fookin ugly in the flesh as in pics ( in my opinion )

Unless that observation was made by someone who just thinks anything new or shiny is stunning

And that zorst is actually as tiny as it looks too .. Thing is shite

I tell you what.. Word is that Honda have been splashing money and freebees around like there are no tomorrows..

yet even those who are supposed to be 'on side' cannot really find too much good to say about it..

Terblanche knows better than most the travails of bringing a template-breaking bike to market:

So that would be a bike that looks like shite and no one actually wants !!

Or perhaps if I was to put a pile of tin plate together and painted it red, stuck a big old fashioned very old tech engine in it this guy would praise it ?
Well he would if he wanted to be on the design team for Honda at a future point in his career anyway !!!

Honda are trying every trick in the book to brain wash people into believing it a good thing

I have no doubt they will sell a fair few to people who like shiny things and new things but given the fact not one single professional test rider has come out with a REALLY positive report, those who are looking for a DECENT all rounder like the Bird are going to be sadly disappointed

Why are you two so fookin upset...

about the VFR. So fookin what. :dunno: it's only a bike FFS's. Ya like it fine, ya don't ...fine. :yo:

DA, ya must be on commission from Krapasaki or some coont to keep putting the VFR down cos ya must've posted hunnerds and fookin hunnerds of posts raging against the machine.

Jaws, I aint seen owt of Honda pushing the boat out over this launch. Is it just in Norfolk that they'e dishing out keyfobs? Surely you aint worried the new bike may affect ya business? Will it fook as like. So much concern....why? :dunno:

The looks are growing on me.....can't/wont afford one...but still would like to see a new Honda in the flesh.

Actually, I have seen it a few times as I was the Test Rider for the whole project and have ridden it in 115 different countries..:neenaw:

You aint seeing behind the scenes ..
I am a VERY tiny fish and even I was approached !! ( which actually turned me off it even more )
the cash being splashed is not for the public to see mate..

Nah, will not affect me other than at times I happen to see one then I am gonna have to be sick again !!

If ( and god forbid it does not happen ! ), if it does become popular then I will have to buy one to use as a base for new products..
Now, given how I feel about the thing how would you feel if you were forced to buy one ! LOL!!

If they had put a straight four lump in it I could live with the looks.. If they had got the looks ok I MIGHT have learned to live with the engine..
But sorry Tim, I really do genuinely dislike the whole package and I am far from a lone voice in a wilderness.
