Do you go out? Or just spend you’re time polishing that beige bike. Get to the gym fatty.
Yes, I go out but only with adult supervision. I’m in the gym six days a week; in fact, seven this week and I train at home every other day. The joys of retirement! I may be bald, thick as a bag and ugly but fat I most certainly am not. Baldy :p

Yep. I recently heard that it keeps the cats away because they don’t like the smell. Whilst I like cats, I take issue with them using the garden as a toilet and since we don’t have our dog anymore, I need to try something.
It is very good for the soil structure.

Unfortunately cats like coffee....our George is regularly seen sipping on a cappuccino

George is a weirdo. Fact! If it doesn’t work, I’m thinking of putting litter trays out.

I agree George is a bit weird drinking cappuccino.

Normal cats drink espresso.

Box of chocolates for the nursing staff in the renal ward at Guys hospital, where I'm in residence. But hoping for early release tomorrow on ground of good behaviour.

Ever since our soft old moggy died we've found it easier not to have a pet, can go away when we feel like it. But local cats have caught up with the news (clearly cat internet works slowly as its 3 years now) and think we've installed a public toilet fir them. A dog might just work as we've tried all else.

Yup. I agree. Much as I love cats George is our third and last. Too much of a tie. Coincidentally we are at my sons today and without going into detail we are having to unexpectedly stay overnight. The cat is outside at home not having been fed since 7 this morning.

On the bright side at least I can turn the heating off remotely

I’ve only ever had mans best friend for company as I really don’t see the point of cats. As for holidays, my dog goes everywhere with us in the motorhome. Mind you I have a friend who takes her cat abroad in her motorhome, she has a litter tray in the shower room, a lead for walks outside but prefers to simply lay in the sun on a mat on the front windscreen area.

I’d have another dog in a heartbeat but we both travel and it’s unfair on the pup. See what happens next year when things settle.

Good luck with your recovery, I hope you’re home for Christmas (y)

You’re right, I won’t. As much as I’m enjoying not spending the day with one eye on the phone and emails, I’ll be bored before too much longer.

I’m not eating buns. Too busy with After Eight and mince pies.

Dogs tend to be better company than people I find too.

come on, enlighten us - what countries? My Molly has only been to Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland and about 10 miles of Spain.

Ah, countries.

I was counting up in my head the other day and got to 27 that I have visited but I may have missed some.

Mostly Europe, going to concentrate on Asia and Australia over the next few years.
