After spending a nice couple of hours with my brother, so set off for home, but it was no issue

Turned off the A1 drove up the road a few miles when a warning light came on telling me to check my tyre pressures.

So I pulled over onto the end of someone's drive so I was off the road, got out of the car walked round the car looking at the tyres looking for a flat tyre nothing obvious so hunted in the boot for my tyre pressure gauge, tested first one and it was down 5psi.

Decided I needed help so rang the door bell of the house whose drive I was parked across expected someone to say something as it was a ring door bell but nothing. So I went next door and this man opened the door I apologised for interrupting his Christmas explained the situation and he got his tyre inflater and pumped up all the tyres.

This done we thought the problem was sorted he went back in and I drove off and the warning was still on, I took the gamble that it was the warning light that needed reseting and drove the next 70+ miles expecting my tyre to go pop and end up in a ditch but thankfully got home exhausted, late but safe.
now need to find out how to reset warning code

But a big thanks to the man who helped me.

Mine takes a while to reset & sometimes I have to turn the engine off & back on. Bev’s panda needs to be reset through the menu buttons.

You have to hold the reset briefly. Don't know how many seconds. I'm sure google will tell.

Having looked on Google I think I know how to reset it, but I will recheck all of the tyres first, and given that the very nice man pumped them all up to 32psi I will be able to tell if any of them have gone down on the way home and over night

If it was a BMW it would do all that itself.

I would be very impressed with any car that can pump it's own tyres up. My car does monitor the pressure but I want to make sure I double check them myself

Been there, and had one

Mine will let you know when the pressures drop by 5psi. Then once pumped back up I have to press the button to reset the warning. 42psi btw

The tpms I have in my new MH shows each individual pressure and tyre temperature then warns when they go outside if parameters. It’s interesting to see the pressures and temps. rising as you drive along. 64fr 75rear

Had this recently with a friends Citroen C1 a quick google told be the reset button is inside the glove box, ignition on hold the button until the warning light on the dash flashes then release and turn the ignition off, then you turn on again it goes through the its normal routine and the light goes off until the next time the tyre pressures are low

on most normal modest cars have to do a similar thing to turn the warning light off its only higher end cars that do it for you
